2 Days Late... BFN

Hubby and I have been TTC for 2 months now. I'm as regular as a girl can get. I always start spotting on Tuesday and by that evening or Wednesday morning I have my period. Well... here we are Thursday morning still no period and the HPT was negative?! This will be our third baby. My first pregnancy (unfortunately ending in a 2nd tri. MC) didn't give a positive with a HT or in the Dr. office until I was 20wks along! I realize that I wouldn't be THAT far along but I'm wondering if I could have the same issue again. I'm very tired, tender belly and breasts. I don't get morning sickness. All of these we're my symptoms with my previous pregnancies. Do you think I should wait through the weekend and test again or call the Dr. office to see what they think?

EDIT:
I tested 1st thing this morning.

EDIT 2:
It's Friday morning, still no period, tested 1st thing with digital and got a 'not pregnant' result...

What can I do next?

Don't know about you but I can't stand it, I get false results all the time with HPTs so I call my OB and request a blood HCG test. The last time I was pregnent I couldn't believe the test so I took 8 of them. I still didn't believe it untill my OB-GYN confirmed it. Good luck!

I would wait.

After all... what can they do? Either tell you that you're pregnant or not, yes? Which waiting will also do? A blood test will tell you sooner... but what do you gain by knowing a week earlier?

Personally, sex & an eclair seems like a better way to spend your time and money :)

Did you take the HPT in the morning right when you wake up? I think you get the most accurate result in the morning right after you wake up. Maybe give that a try? If you try that and is still negative and you still have some of the symptoms of being pregnant then go see your doc so you can find out for sure instead of keep guessing and waiting.

Good luck !

You could be pregnant. I took a bunch of Home pregnancy tests that were ALL a very faint positive. I went to my OB and took their test and they told me it showed I wasn't pregnant. After a blood test later that day I was actually pregnant. I would test again tomorrow morning and get the tests that say Pregnant or Not pregnant so you can be sure.

I would say give it some time. I had a similar situation recently. I had not started my period and so I took a test and it came out negative the following week I took another test and it was a slight positive and so I took another test the following morning still a light positive. I started spoting that day and called my doctor the next day. When they got me in the following day I was bleeding like a period and they did blood work and it turns out that at 6 weeks I had a miscarriage or as they call it a chemical pregnancy. Good luck and dont stress out. I know how you feel my husband and I have been trying for a year for our second. It will happen when it is time. :)

It may be hard to wait, especially since you really want this, but I would suggest it. I have wasted so much money and time thinking that I was pregnant and if I would have been patient and just waited a touch longer, I wouldn't have. It is always possible that you are pregnant, but those are also symptoms I experience when I am about to start my cycle.

If you have the extra time and money, there is no harm in calling and getting an appointment though. Whatever helps give you peace of mind is what I would do. You have two other children to care for and if your mind is at peace, it will be better for all three (possibly four) of you. I know that from experience! ^_^

I second the just wait answer - there's not much to do at 4 weeks except hope something doesn't go wrong. But it's also true that some pregnancy tests are much more sensitive than others, and that HTC doubles every couple days at this stage, making it hard to get a positive with a less sensitive test during the week you miss your period.
