I want to get my daughter around more kids and thought a call to all mothers might work! Fridays work best as it's my day off, so let me know so we can get together. We can meet at a park, and once we get to know each other more, do some activities (or even mommy stuff too!)

I too am 33 years old and have a 15 month old daughter. We often go to a little park in Lakewood off of Del Amo and Studabaker (2 blocks west of 605 frwy) where many little kids are often there with their moms. The park has an enclosed sandbox with swings, slides, and more. Most moms are friendly and social. Is this too far?
I take my 1 year old son to tiny tot time at Brewitt Library on Anaheim St. in Long beach. On Fridays, the librarian reads them stories from 10:30-11am and from 11-12pm they play with all the cool toys. It's great because the babies have a wonderful time and the parents also get to meet each other. My son loves it!
I met a nice gal from an AP Moms Group and she mentioned she was from Long Beach and invited me to her local LB group. Since I live in HB, I haven't participated. But I still see her profile on Meetup.... I'm not sure if this even fits, but I am a coordinator of a MOPS (Mothers of PreSchoolers) group in Downey, which is just up the 605 a few miles. We meet in the evenings on Thursday (2nd and 4th of the month) Its a meeting for the mommies and the kids get to play together. We do have play dates but those tend to be on Wednesdays. Our meeting times are from 6:45-8:30 at night and the child care begins at 6:30. If you are interested let me know and I will get you more information. Hope you find what you are looking for.
