Happy Mother's Day!!!! I wish everyone a day of joy and peace.

What do you wish for?

I'm spending my morning taking food to a sick friend. Then I'm going to play rock band for a few hours and imagine I'm a singer. And then I'll have the extended family over for dinner. It's all set: I made my favorite stuffed peppers days ago, roast is defrosting, floors are washed...hubby just has to get the crock pot going for the carnitas and make some salsa.

Life is indeed good. Have a terrific day.

What can I do next?

To sleep in... Maybe nap all day. I have a 5 yo, 3 yo, and a 4 week old. It's 5 am and I haven't gone to sleep yet because either has the baby. I would give anything to catch up on sleep. :) no breakfast, lunch, dinner, or special outing this year please. I'll be in bed I hope. :)

i'm enjoying my coffee and MP while the ol' man does the horses, and my older and his GF fix me breakfast.
my younger will be here later, and after chinese takeout he and i will overdose on game of thrones or sons of anarchy into the wee hours.
ahhhhhhhh.
i think we should have mothers' day more often.
my wish for the day is blessings and love upon my moms (birth and step) who are gone and missed, and for the continued health and happiness of my babies. and that i get to continue to be a part of their adventures.
i hope you all have a marvelous day, my lovelies!

A day off. That's not going to happen. Because my kid has enough studying and homework in 7th grade that we cannot go anywhere or do anything today, and she's so freaked out about it that I cannot go anywhere either.

This'll just be another day in paradise.

Tough question because in many ways I feel like I've got everything I could wish for!
My husband's sweet, our son is a really great kid and becoming a wonderful young man, and we're healthy.
I suppose a really big win at a lottery that would pay off the mortgage would be great.

Each day I wish for the continued health and happiness for my family. I am truly grateful and feel blessed for what I have been given.

My wish for today? Nice juicy burgers on the grill and creamy coleslaw for dinner followed up with a nice thunderstorm!

Last year storms came early and poor hubby had to grill under umbrella :-(, but at least I got my storm :-).

T.F....stay safe!

Suz, your day sounds awesome!

J. G. Your menu sounds awesome!

My wish this weekend was to get some long-avoided paperwork done, but I was awoken last night by someone rumbling around outside at 3 a.m., and it turned out that my daughter had driven home to surprise me. It's a 10 hour drive, so I'm glad I didn't know she was doing it in the middle of the night.

My only other wish would be for some rain. But two kids are home, and apparently we are all going wine tasting. :)

Happy Mother's Day to all!!!!

It is pouring rain here and some nasty storms predicted. I hope everyone is safe through the storms and flash flooding.

We are going to the traditional Mother's Day brunch at our country club which is the best of the best brunches all year!! My daughter is joining us.

There is nothing I really wish for. I appreciate where I am in life, my family and our health.

Thank you for the post, and I'm enjoying the messages. My wish... A day of good interactions with my 9-year old gal (already got some of that, with lots of hugs and gifts prepared in school), a day of finishing the final exams for the semester and grades entered/ready to submit by tomorrow morning, a day of our son having a blast at a local airshow with his Civil Air Patrol squadron, and my husband traveling safely to and from Atlanta to renew his passport with an embassy official who is there this weekend.

Wishing you all a lovely day of celebrating being a mother and a daughter!

Sleep. I have a 2.5 year old with a regular and predictable nap/bedtime, but I have a 4 month old who either must be fed during the night or fusses because he has to poop. I end up waking up multiple times each night. Sometimes every hour!

To have a laid back day. I woke up with DD at the usual time, and then when DH got up a few minutes later, I snuck back to bed for a while. Then we went to church and DH and DD took me out to lunch. After that (maybe because we were seated outside) DD and I were very sleepy and ended up taking a nap on the couch together til DH woke us up. I called my mom and my grandmom and am doing a whole lot of nothing now and DH will make dinner. Fantastic.

It was an awesome weekend! I had the house to myself!!!

My husband left Friday to help move our son to Indiana for the summer and brought back a beautiful card and a gift certificate for a pedi from the boy.

My daughter and her boyfriend took myself and his mom to lunch at a very nice steakhouse. Then my daughter and I went back to my house and watched "Sound of Music".

Hubby came home with son's dog (we are bonding with our granddog for the summer). =)

It was an awesome weekend!!!

I had a good day.
Husband and I went to church with my MIL and then we and his sisters took her out to brunch. (I adore my MIL, by the way. She's the kind of old lady I want to be when I grow up).
Came home and Husband did all the animal chores while I baked tea cakes for my mom and got them to her while they were still warm.
Mowed the lawn at my old house (trying to sell it), mowed my neighbor's yard (single dad, just lost his job, and his mower broke), while waiting for the person I had sold my riding mower to to come pick it up, so I was able to put a bit of extra cash in my pocket.
Came home from my mom's and Husband told me, "Sit down, you're done working for the day." Spent the evening sitting on the patio drinking one of my favorite beers.

I had a fabulous Mother's Day! Very relaxing, brunch out, got to spend time with each of our moms, my boys spoiled me (again!).

The best part? Taking a card, flowed and I've cream to my MIL's neighbor (no family) who turned 98 yesterday! What a pistol--still lives on her own and takes ACCESS van to the casino! Lol
