I have been looking for a group to join that would focus on ideas, and goal setting, and being held accountable for the goals that we make. I can't find a group like that anywhere!
I am wondering if anybody in the Mesquite area would be interested in creating a group like this with me. I don't know where we would meet - I think the main library in Mesquite allows groups that don't make a profit to use their conference room, but I don't know if they charge for it or not. Maybe (especially in the beginning) we could meet at our homes?
The topics of the group, as I envision, would be anything from starting a business to weight loss, to helping others set and achieve goals. Also, it would be a very tolerable group that would be open to all beliefs and opinions.
I think this would be a very positive time, and everybody would benefit.

By the way... we need to address the topic of bringing our children. With my kids being old enough to stay at home by themselves for a while, I would like this a kid free zone! HOWEVER, I understand the fact that there are some moms out there that would NEED to bring their kids, or else they would not be able to attend. I sure don't want to exclude any woman just because she has to bring her child(ren). How can we deal with this? Especially if we are going to be meeting in people's houses... any thoughts?
This is sounds great! Have you done it yet? If not here is an idea. How about have online meetings - Skype conference call. Let's say every Tuesday 6-7 pm(just an example, what ever time will work the best). Since everybody have PC it could work perfect. Kids @ home, problem solved. What do you think about that?
I would be interested. I have started a new business, but I asked my husband to help with keeping me on track. He is just to busy and tired when he gets home.
I want more accountability and support as I try and become more organized and get this off the ground. What is unschool? I have not heard of that.
I would be interested. I am 21 weeks pregnant with my first child, and I live in South Garland. I like your description...sounds like we would have a lot in common. I am all about ideas and I am just learning about "unschooling" from a stay at home mom who just started doing it. Keep me posted!

It would be a good idea to have a group to be able to talk to some people more like a suppose group. I live in Mesquite but I would have to bring my little girl. Maybe we could meet at like McDonalds so maybe the kids could play.
