Hi Moms,
Which edge do you recommend for granite countertops? I think I like the standard 'polished straight edge' for granite but am not familiar with the other edge options just yet. I'm interested in your feedback before I go research my options. Thanks!

We went with the completely round edges, more pricey but worth it when you've got counter height 7 yr olds bumping their heads in it!

Polished, squared-off edges look the most modern, but a full bullnose is less likely to chip.

We recently did ours and went with "Ogee" edges. I know it sounds funny if you haven't heard of it but it is the name of an edge. To us it was the simplest yet it was practical and attractive. I mean practical with regard to crumbs, cleaning and also general enough where the next buyer (if we sold) would probably be happy with it. But I say go with what you like since you will have to love it and live with it. Enjoy!

It really depends on your personal style. Some ornate kitchens go with the ogee edge because it fits style-wise, it's more ornate that some other edges. My style is super contemporary so I went with the polished straight edge, which I love because of its clean lines. The bullnose edge is a nice option if you prefer softer lines. If you're doing a granite countertop, you might also want to look into "honed" granite instead of polished. My friend put in honed black granite and it looks AWESOME! If I ever get to remodel another kitchen, that's what I'm doing!

We went with Bullnose edge. It looks classy and is easy to clean. Also when my children bump any and every part of their body on it, it's rounded so no sharp edges to get even more hurt on!
