Where to Fix a Dsi XL?

My daughter dropped her DSi XL and cracked the inside of the top screen, and of course now the top screen won't work anymore. (She's only had it since xmas, UGH!) Does anyone know where to get this fixed, preferably in the (western, southwestern) suburbs? And how much this may cost?

Thanks in advance.

PS - Already called Best Buy and CompUSA, they don't fix them.

What can I do next?

Just look up nintendo customer service and contact them. We did this a few years ago.

Call Nintendo. I think they have a program where they will send you one to use and you send the broken one in to be fixed (or something similar to that). Don't know what it will cost to fix it though. Also - something else you might look into (not sure how old your daughter is) but they have cases for the DSi's that are drop-proof. It might be worth investing in one. Good luck !

Oh no!

You could try a Game Stop or Best Buy, if you have either in your area. Otherwise you should be able to call the company and send it in for repair. Although, from what I've heard its expensive.

A couple years ago my nephew had a DS, and dropped it and it stopped working, when my SIL called to see how much it would cost to repair it was about half the cost of a new one. She decided to wait and get him a DSi for Christmas. And one month later their dog chewed it up. She now buys the protection plans, lol.

Good luck, hope it won't be too costly for you!

Have you contacted Nintendo? I would do that first and see what they can do. It should still be under warrantee and they should be able to fix it for you. You might have to send it in. Or maybe they can tell you where to take it.

My daughter dropped hers and it broke a few years ago. I called Nintendo and returned it. They fixed it. It cost me $50 or $75 b/c it was no longer under warranty.

Send it back to the manufacturer! If you just purchased it new at Christmas, it is still covered by Nintendo's warranty.
