I am looking for the safety hinges for toyboxes. We have a fantastic toybox that was mine as a child, but would like to put the safety hinges on it like the new toyboxes in the store. We have looked everywhere for them, to no avail. Surely they can be bought? Thank!

What can I do next?

Have you looked at Lowe's or Home Depot? I'm sure they would carry them. It's probably not in with the 'safety' items but in with the regular hinges. I think they are just called slow closing hinges.

I believe there is a foam grabber that attaches to the top of the box of a toybox that prevents the lid from shutting completely. I don't know how snugly they fit (or how easily baby can just take it off) but that might be an alternative if you aren't able to locate the hinges you're looking for.

Hello! I get a catalog every few months called "One Step Ahead" and it is full of safety gear and gadgets. I don't know if they have exactly what you are looking for, but it would be worth looking into, since that it is what their whole company is about. I just typed in "onestepahead.com" and it took me to their home page. Hope this helps and good luck!
