Where Is Your Favorite Carneceria or Bakery That Sells Tamale Supplies?
Every year my Dad's wife comes down from CA and we make tamales. It's my favorite new tradition and this year is no exception. I've been meaning to look for a good place for supplies, plus a place that has really good carne asada and pollo asada. I know there must be many, but I don't get out much and would really like some suggestions. Plus, I miss pan dulce! Happy Holidays and thanks!

I went to Food City! I bought a huge roast there for six dollars, they had great husks and all the other things I was looking for. Thank you for suggesting them! The Food City that I had been to didn't have half of what the one on Ray has, so I guess it hadn't occurred to me to go there. I will also be checking out the other carnecerias that were suggested, so thank you all!

Hi. My Mother in law goes to Food City to buy her supplies for tamales & they are the best I have ever had. As for the Carne asada & Pollo Asada, the best carneceria is on Gilbert & Broadway. I think its called El Rancho, they have been there forever! They also have an excellent bakery with tons of pan dulce! We live in Queen Creek & drive to Mesa to get their carne asada & what ever we decide looks good. We have always had good luck with them & never get a sick tummy after we eat, like other carneceria's we've tried.
Good luck & have fun making your tamales.

You know it's silly but Food City has a pretty good selection, and if they don't have what you want, I bet there is someone there that can send you to the right place. :)

Hi S.,
This is one of my families favorite traditions as well. My favorite place to go is Food City. They have everything you need and they are very inexpensive. I'm pretty sure there is one somewhere close to your neighborhood.
Happy Holidays!
