Where Do You Buy Pants for Your Husky Son?

My son has completely grown out of kids/teens sizes for jeans and pants, but men's don't fit him either. Right now he is stuck wearing sweatpants and joggers in teen sizes. Men's 32 fit in the waist, but even if I hem them the rise is wrong. We have tried lots of brands and I feel like he has tried on hundreds of pairs of pants!!! Does anyone else have this problem? Where can I find boys pants with a larger waist???

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

We have tried the Old Navy kids sizes, husky size and adult size. When the adult men's waist fits they are super baggy through the bum and crotch, or come up to his ribs. He's only about 5'3", and while he has a man size waist he is not built like a man yet. He is not quite 12 and I suspect he is just gearing up for a major growth spurt, but it would be nice to have a pair of jeans in the mean time. And yes, husky is the term they use in sizing clothes, same as petite. He is a little chubby, but I would describe him more as "thick".

I had a similar issue with my son. Levi's has husky sizes. It's a lot pricier but worth it. They last really well.

Mine is at a 30 inch waist - American Eagle, GAP (mens), Hollister ... we've had some success because the pants seem to sit lower (so not a huge rise) - and I can get the legs as short as 28 inch.
A friend of ours has a husky framed young teen - she's done well at Old Navy.

Dockers'...you can get them by waist size and length. Not only can you get a range of sizes they are frequently on sale on Amazon once you get the sizing right. Most of our major department stores (Macy's) have them here.

I always bought pants for my "husky" son at Old Navy. They have a boy's husky size.

If he's husky then he needs relaxed or a loose fit.
32 waist is not that unusual a size - Big (starts at a waist around 44) and Tall (starts at a waist around 36) I don't think he's ready for.
What's wrong with the rise? Too high or too low?
I like the pants waist sitting at the waist - the guys with their pants down below their behinds need to pull them up - no one needs to see their underwear or any butt cracks.
We've had good luck with jeans at Walmart, Target and Pennys when our son was young.
My husband and son are now into Big and Tall sizes so we shop at King Size Direct and Casual Male XL.

My grandson was chubby and wore a men's size 34 waist. WE bought the shortest size 34. I think it was 28. THE legs were a bit too long. The bottom edge did fray over time. I don't remember a problem with the rise. This was when baggy was acceptable in his age group (9,10,11). He's now 13, grown several inches and is thin.

How old is your son? If he doesn't care about fit, I'd just wait it out if it's possible he'll have a growth spurt. WE thought my grandson woukd always be chunky. His father is stocky. No, he's now a tall slender young man.
