I am hoping you have some suggestions on where I can find gently used size 6 or 7 toddler girl shoes. My 17 month old daughter's foot grows so quickly that everytime I buy her shoes, she is ready for the next size up. I have already been to almost all of the Once Upon a Child's around the area on several ooccasions. I have also tried the thrift stores in my area. Any ideas on where to try next?
Freecycle is a Yahoo group that I love - the main purpose of it is to keep things out of landfills, but it's a great resource to not only receive things you need, but get rid of things you no longer have use for that someone else could possibly use.
There are a bunch of rummage sales coming up in late August and September. The first that I know of is on Sat. August 15th at the Dupage County Fairgrounds at 7 am. No doubt that the line will be forming by 6 am maybe even 5:30.
There are 3 in adjacent buildings at the fairgrounds on Sat. Sept. 12th. The first is at 7:15.
I second the previous poster for used children's clothes sales. Check local churches, they always seem to have one right about now. There's one called best brands resale (you can google it) in Wheaton on this Friday and Saturday.
I also always get used shoes on ebay. You can get shoes for as low as .99 plus shipping.
If all else fails, I have a shoe problem and end up with way too many shoes in every size for all my kids. If you want to pm me and let me know what kind you are looking for, I may be able to find one for you in a bin.
