Where Can I Find *Cheap* Storage Bins?

Does anyone know of any retailers in the Portland area that have cheap storage bins? I'm looking for about the 18 gallon size, I'd definitely take used if I could find them. I've been scanning craigslist, but the one time I found some, the girl flaked out on me. I need about 10, so I don't want to pay $7 a piece, which is the FredMeyer/Target price. Thanks!

What can I do next?

I got two 10 gallon bins at Big Lots for $4.00 each.
I believe their 18 gallon ones were $5.00.
Good luck.

we were just at home depot and they had big bins for i believe 4.99. they were like 2 inches too tall for the shelves my hubby made in the garage so we poked around a bit more and found some for 5.25 if i remember correctly. check online to be sure, but they were a great price.

If you know of a "Big Lots" store in your area, try them. They have an 18 gal. one for I believe $6.99 and a 34 gal. (huge one) for $8.99. If you bought the huge one's, you wouldn't need nearly as many. You could go online to check out their locations. You might also call one of the container companies in your local area. Sometimes they have really good deals, and might have some used ones. Hope this helps.

I'm frequent shopper at thrift stores. Every once in awhile I find storage bins. It would take months to acquire 10. I've found 4-5 in the past 6 months.

I've not tried this but perhaps you could get to know someone at a thrift shop or two and ask them to call you when ones come in. I've found employees to be friendly and helpful. Perhaps the best person to ask is the ones who take in goods at the store donation site.

Could you advertise on Craig's list and Free_____? asking for them.

Every once in awhile Fred Meyer has good sales which knock off around $2.
