Lori,

Don't worry about her not having teeth. In fact, I've heard from some dentists that the longer it takes for kids to get their teeth, the healthier those teeth are! Feeding wise, just keep giving her soft stuff that she likes and maybe even can start finger feeding herself! Tristen didn't have any teeth until he was 10ish months. Then, he got 6 teeth between thanksgiving and christmas!!

Take care,
M.

Lori,

Don't be concern at this age about the baby having teeth or not. It is better to get teeth later than earlier.

At three months old I had teeth. I started shedding my teeth at the age of four. I was 10 for 12yr molars and got my wisdom teeth at the age of 17yrs. I spent my life at the dentist. My teeth were too soft. I ate very little candy and no pop when I was growing up. I had enough problems already. With each kid I had (4)I lost 2 teeth. I now wear dentures and have been wearing either partial or full dentures since I was 30yrs old.

You don't want to have that kind of future for your child/children. I have 8 other siblings and nobody else has has this problem and none of the others had teeth before 7 months. So relax and enjoy strong teeth when they come. R. T.

Hi Lori,
Don't worry your little girl is just fine. I understand your worry, my son didn't get his fist tooth until he was 11 months old. I thought something was wrong but the doctor to me it's all based on genetics depending on how old you and your wore when you guys got your first teeth. I got my fist teeth when I was 5 months but my husbund was 14 months before he got his so it just depends. But don't be afraid to feed her certain things because she doesn't have teeth because my son ate everything with out teeth from veggies to steak he gumed everything. So don't worry they'll come soon.

perfectly normal. My daughter got her first two teeth at 9months. I have a friend who's daughter didn't get teeth until 17months. Its a wide gap of when they can get teeth.

Hi Lori,

My daughter just turned two and she didn't get her first bottom teeth until a little after her first birthday. So your daughter is perfectly normal, your daughter will probably be getting her teeth real soon, drooling and fussiness is a part of teething. They have a natural teething tablet (Hyland's) in most drug stores that you can buy to help her with the pain so you don't have to worry about the harsh effects of Tylenol. It is a tablet that you put under their tongue and I used it when my daughter became really fussy or uncomfortable. She now has four top teeth, two bottom teeth, and a couple of top and bottom molars along with two more bottom teeth coming as we speak. So my advice is don't worry she is fine, just wait it out with her and she soon will be showing a few pearly whites and you can always find that natural teething tablet in the drug stores so that she can be comfortable while she is going through the process.

Your daughter is perfectly normal. My son got his first tooth at 9 months, and then by the time he was 1 he only had 2 teeth. He is 2 years, 3 months now and he is all caught up with his teeth (he even has his 2 year old molars). I wouldn't worry about it. She will get her teeth when they are ready to come in, and there is nothing you can do to make them come in faster.
