Hi there,
I don't really have any good advice on table foods, but we started with soft foods like bananas and puffs. I really wanted to respond to your bio though. Have you tried to find a MOMS group in your area. It has been a life saver for me. Playgroups and monthly activities for the kids and moms. I'd really recommend you give it a try.

Hi L.,
My son is a year old now and he started about the same time refusing baby food. We consulted our pediatrician and he advised us to start giving him what we were eating. We made sure the vegetables were vey soft, almost mushy. He ate pasta, mashed potatoes and soft cheeses.

L., Start with soft foods such as scrambled eggs, mashed potatoes, soft vegetables. Experiment with harder foods but cut them up in tiny pieces. Chicken is great to start meats with just in small pieces.

Puffs are great, Cheerios are good after they get used to the puffs! Also, when baby is ready, I still give my son a piece of lightly toasted bread spread with baby food fruit, he loves it! And it's better than using butter. Good luck! And get ready, they move pretty quickly away from baby food sometimes once they start regular food, that's why I sneak and use the baby food as a spread! :)
