I have some free time today with my toddler.
I am so excited.
No responsibilties. The possibilities are endless.
No having to help to my other family members.
It's like working M-F and having the weekends off.
I'm so happy that I want to do everything!
So what do YOU think we should do?
It's a little cold out.
My "free, fun time" starts at noon! :) Tell me, tell me! :)

What can I do next?

Let him help pack a picnic and go for a brisk walk to the playground. Come home and read. Quiet one on one activiites where you listen to your child. Interview him and take video. Ask him questions and hear him. That's what I like to do when I truly have free tiome and am nt multitasking.

Grab a girl friend and go hit the mall... get some Christmas shopping done, then go to lunch and have drinks and laugh until you have tears running down your face ;)

If you are in Santa Monica - go to the pier and have fun on the beach finding sea shells !!!

Don't overwhelm your toddler. Keep it simple. But fun - sea shells might be fun on the beach!!

I don't know your child or you. But if I was still in So Cal, that's what I would do. Bundle up and go to the beach!!!

I'm envious of your locale.
Yes, as Cheryl suggested, get outside! It will be good for both of you. Beach, park, a sweet outing. Grab yourself a treat of choice (latte? ice cream? whatever you like) and get/pack a yummy something for kiddo too and go go go!

The Santa Monica Pier is always nice.

Since La Jolla is too far - I can't suggest going there! Love La Jolla!!

A picnic on the beach would be great!! if you weren't so far away - I'd suggest the Wild Animal Park here in Escondido!!

It's hard not knowing what your toddler or you like to do. I've not lived in Santa Monica - so I don't know anything other than the beach and the pier there.

Well maybe go to the mall, run around there, and have something yummy from the foodcourt after. c:

Oooooor, see if there are any indoor kid-friendly science museums around? I know where I live they have a really cool toddler-friendly part for them to try some easy things and see some cool videos, hear some music, etc. c: Exercise those little brains!

You're already an hour 20 into your free time, but if it were me, I'd do all that stuff I can't do with the kiddo in tow - shop for a new cell phone, take my leisurely time shopping, go Xmas shopping, or enjoy my favorite tv shows.
