What R the Safest Communitys and Good School to Buy a House.

I., do you want to continue to live in Dallas, or in one of the suburbs? How much can you spend, where do you work, etc. There are a lot of variables, you should contact a realtor.

I live in Flower Mound and love it. It is a nice, safe suburb in an excellent school district (LISD). Plus, the homes are very affordable!

Look into Keller and the Keller ISD area also. You really have a lot of options here.

My husband is a realtor and he said there are many factors you need to consider.
The better schools and safer neighborhoods are going to be priced higher.
He has lists with ratings, etc. Just message me if you'd like the info :)

I'm with Marianne, you need to narrow down what you are looking for, how much $$ you can afford and all the other aspects of neighborhoods.

A good realtor will be very beneficial to you. Also look on webiste for various IDS....such as Dallas, Garland, Colleyville, Plano (to which I am more partial), Allen, McKinney.

SO many factors, So many avenues to deliberate to decide what is right for your family.

There is a webisite on tea but I don't know the exact site. It does decode and rate the areas you might be interested in.

The Crowley/Burleson/Joshua area is great. South of Forth worth. Great schools from what I've heard.

It's a master planned community slightly north of flower mound. It has 3 schools (2 "exemplary") with in the community and a golf course as well as hike/bike trails, pools, tennis courts. www.LantanaTX.com

Frisco or west Plano.

I will second Frisco. We moved here from Plano and we have experience in both school systems.

I will second also what everyone else is commenting as to what are you looking for? Do either you or your husband commute to Dallas to work? If so, do not forget to take that in consideration. We live in Frisco near the toll so drive not so bad but toll can be $$$. We love our schools, our HOA community has a community pool, yearly dues are very cheap, our HOA has social events too and we have lots of kids from small to older - we had a great Fall event yesterday.

I see alot of suggestions for north of Dallas but not really south of Dallas. I moved to Red Oak which is right off 35 down past DeSoto and before Waxahachie (which is also a good place with good schools). My daughter has made straight As since we moved from Duncanville and we love it. It is small but growing.

Euless is rated top 50 in Newsweek to raise kids and HEB ISD is a great district or Mansfield ISD is also another great district.

Colleyville, Southlake and Grapevine are great areas to live in.

I second Lantana!!! Great community!!

Check out Grandview Tx it has the some of the highest ratings for schoools and is right off 35 and not too far from Fort Worth we live here and LOVE it!

My family lives in Corinth, which is a part of the "Lake Cities" are just north of Lewisville on I-35. I love living in this community, it has the small town feel with Denton or Lewisville within a 5-10 minute drive for the larger city shopping experience. There are many price ranges for Corinth so there is a place for every income. Corinth is divided between two school systems, Denton ISD and Lake Dallas ISD. Both are very nice....we are on the Denton side and love love love the schools that we are zoned for....Hawk Elementary, Crownover Middle School and Guyer High School. Now some will tell you that living north of Lewisville bridge is a negative but I strongly disagree. Yes, there are the occasional wrecks that can slow traffic down in the early mornings or early evenings but really, what part of the DFW metroplex isn't a little congested during those peak times? My husband communtes each day from Corinth to Grapevine via I-35 North and South and says the ride is very acceptable.

Obviously like the others, I have no clue what side of town you are looking for or where your or your spouse's employment is which makes a huge difference in where you choose to live. But, if you are looking to live in the suburbs of far north Dallas, then you will find this area the best for your money. We looked seven years ago in Flower Mound and Grapevine when we relocated and were disheartened that the quality of homes for the price was so ridiculous. We still are thankful our realtor brought us a little further north where our money bought us a much newer, bigger and nicer home in a very nice neighborhood.

We moved to Midlothian when my oldest started school. We love the town it's nice and small still and the schools are great! The middle schools and the high school still let the churches in the community have an influence in the school. Which is very nice. I went to high school and middle school there also. The kids are not just a number they truly care about the kids.

We live on the West side of Allen and love it. The schools systems are great too. I feel really safe here. It doesn't bother me to go out at night alone. Nice town to raise a family in. Lots of family stuff to do.

We love Murphy and Wylie ISD. Great place to raise kids!! Most of Murphy is Plano ISD, but there are 3-4 neighborhoods that go to Wylie. Great, caring, and academically excellent school district.
