Hello.

My daughters are getting older (now 7 and younger) and I'm starting to wonder what facial cleanser should be used and also moisturizer. What do you use with your children?

Thx!

What can I do next?

We also do water only. Occasionally when it is very cold or her skin is otherwise dry I will put some cocoa butter on her face... I use it for myself, so that's what I have at home.
Until they start puberty and having skin issues there is really no reason to use a cleanser, in most young children their skin is perfectly balanced as it is.

Just warm water and a washcloth over here! My kids have very sensitive skin, if there is ever a dry patch I use a little Aquaphor on it at night. Tends to be a little greasy is the reason we do it at night.

We just use water and a washcloth... no moisturizer, my son's skin is soft and moist enough at his age. I limit the chemicals, even if natural that I want on my son's body, which is why I don't wash his face with soap. Now, in the event that his face was really dirty with crime from playing, then yes, some soap might be a good idea. but on a regular basis, just water does the trick..

good luck

Water and a washcloth. ( He's Almost 7 years old.) I don't use soap on his face and he certainly doesn't need moisturizer.

I use only a washcloth and water for her face. She has very dry skin so we do moisturize. Coconut oil is our current favorite. In the summer, we won't use anything.

Just water. On the rare occasion my girls get a dry patch, I use my Clinique moisturizer on them.

I use a kid's 3 in 1 body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. Nothing fancy and his skin isn't dry.

warm water and a wash cloth. If needed a little soap. For moisture they really shouldn't need much now. If they are a little dry on occasion I give them some of my clinique dramatically different moisturizing lotion.

All natural soap is really the best way to go. No chemicals or fillers.

Water. I live in a warm, humid climate, and it has never crossed my mind to moisturise their faces.

My DD is 5. We don't moisturize regularly. We use Cetaphil or Dove or 7th Generation baby wash, depending on what we have on hand.

As long as it is not deodorant soap it will be fine.

Just water. Soap or cleansers are for removing makeup and/or oil that comes along with age. At 7 and younger, they don't need cleansers or moisturizers, you can just cause bigger issues (soaps dry out skin, lots of kids have reactions to these types of products). Save your money until they're teenagers and they need and want every product out there!

At that age... I don't think soap is really necessary for a young face because you don't want to dry her skin out.

That said, dermatologist recommend Purpose and Cetaphil. I personally use Clinique mild soap and so does my daughter.

Be careful with moisturizer as well because you don't want to start getting oily skin. If anything, go with something super light and one that includes a sunscreen.

My kids are 4 and 2, and we wash with washcloth and water. They both have sensitive skin, so we use Aveeno lotion for all over...including the face.

I used plain soap on her face and shea butter as a moisturizer, same as I do for my face,
