Colic Remedies that work?
For my little guy it was gas drops, lactose free formula and an ifant swing. The infant swing saved my sanity and stopped his crying instantly.
I have a super colicy baby due to GERD. 2 things that have worked miricles: Go to a darkly lit bathroom and run bath water it seems to sooth him and you get a steam facial. Rock your baby gently and hum or talk to him/her. 2. I order the only FDA homeopathic gripe water called ColicCalm (it has a money back garentee, no ?'S asked) it works in minutes. Don't be disturbed by the black color it happens to work so I ignored it. You may want your baby tested for Reflux, or food intolerance soy formula may be better. I breast feed, and pump and thicken my sons milk with rice cereal and that helps too. Last resort a warm bath, it is relaxing and reminds them of less stimulating days. That also helps my son to sleep a good 6 hours in the evening. Hope this helps.
Hyland homeopathic Cholic remedy worked great for our daughter. The other thing you can do is to releave the preasure behind the sphincter muscle. Use a rectal thermometer. Coat it with a little ky lubricant and insert it just into the anus. GENTLY use the thermometer to open the anus just a tiny bit - it doesn't take much - and the gas that makes cholic worse will pass! LL
Luckily I didn't have that problem but my sisters did. One sister noticed when she changed to Dr Brown bottles it helped. My other sister had twins with colic and noticed it helped when she massaged their bellies and burped them often. Good luck to u
The best remedy to treat baby colic is babies magic tea.
When my son was a baby he had colic every day & was very uncomfortable. I boiled 1 tsp of fennel or anise seeds (both work) in a cup of water & made a tea & gave it to him. This worked very well every time. Also, I carried him on my hip, with him facing outward with my hand supporting his belly & that helped, too. I found these tips in a great book called "Best Bets For Babies", a book of tips from parents. You can get it on Amazon. I think everybody should have this book & no, I don't have stock in it! Good luck, I know it's hard to watch your baby be miserable.
Everything there is a treatment but not a solution. Find a chiropractor or cranial sacral therapist who can do work on the body. That will resolve the colic as opposed to just treating it. Our son had it horribly and once treated by our myopractor (not many of these guys around) friend it was over. His bowel movements and digestion went back to normal. It only took two treatments and it dramatically improved his quality of life. He is located in Phoenix and there is someone very good in Las Vegas. I am not sure where you are located but anyone with experience in body work on infants should be able to significantly help the problem.
Good Start Supreme Comfort Proteins..introduce slowly..also hylands colic tablets..taste the formulas yourself..simulac tastes disgusting..i breast fed but supplemented b/c my son was a 10.2 lb baby and was losing weight..Good Start Supreme is the closest u can get to breast milk out of all the formulas...and was the only one that didn't upset my son's tummy..also try lower back massage...i went into Erewhon on Beverly and the nutritionist recommended some coconut cream stuff...can't remember now but i would rub that on my son's back and belly
Neutramagin Enfamil formula if it is really bad otherwise you can try soy formula. Also the video The Happiest Baby on the Block gives you tools that really help.

Definitely go totally dairy free. It takes a good week for all the dairy to work out of the baby's system. I was nursing and had to cut all dairy out of MY diet before the colic stopped. In the meantime while you switch to a soy formula, if you lay your little one on their back and then pump his legs like he's on a bicycle that relieves the colic. You can try gripe water or the no gas drops too.
Dr. Brown's Bottles, Carnation Good Start Formula and Mylicon Gas Drops....worked for me. I tell everyone. They can't believe what a difference it makes!

My Son had colic and the only things to that really seemed to help him was the gas drops (doesn't matter the brand) and laying him over my knees on his stomach and just rudding his back. Oh and also heat seemed to help as well I had a bathroom with a heater fan and we used to sit in there quite a while at night I'm not sure if it was the fan or the heat helping or both. After we got through this phase I was reading somewhere about this baby heating pad you can buy and place it under their bassinet pad and they sweared by it, had I had know about this during the colic phase I definitely would have tried it.
