A couple of weeks ago I answered a question related to puberty. Seems we have many similar questions.I said I'd look up the books that helped my daughter talk with her kids about their bodies.

The books for both girls and boys are written by Lynda Madaras. "What's Happening to My Body" one for girls and one for boys. She has written several books related to body issues including ones for younger kids and one about gynecological care for women. One title that caught my attention is "My Body, My Self" for girls and one for boys

My daughter read the "What's Happening to My Body" with her kids.

What books have helped you with talking with kids about body and sexual topics?

What can I do next?

We use The Care and Keeping of You Body Books 1 & 2 from American Girl. They even added a boy version about 18 months ago that I bought for my son.

"Its Perfectly Normal" was the only one I needed with my boys, we read it out loud together and stopped whenever they had questions or wanted more information.

ETA: thanks M. for asking this question. I'm going to pick up another one that was recommended here.

Our Bodies, Our Selves in high school (me)
American Girl books
Where do I come from? pictures are cartoon like and my kids found funny. Preferred It's Not The Stork

The school provided these great pamphlets with information provided in FAQ form, written and answered as if by teens. Our kids preferred those to anything else (still have).

I also used the book, It's Perfectly Normal, with my 10-yr-old son. We have referred to it many times in the last couple of years. It is a well-done book on any topic related to puberty and adolescence.
