What Are You Grateful For? - Commerce Township,MI
I watch the Giuliana and Bill show (Giuliana from E! news and her husband Bill, entreprenuer) and she has had to postpone her public attempt to become pregnant through IVF. I cried watching her interview b/c my twins were conceived via IVF on the FIRST try. For her - after a miscarriage, she was trying to go through her third round and found out she has breast cancer. At 36. I know it's a nightmare to go through infertility treatments. She has had such a good attitude about it and said after treatment she's going to keep trying and said, this baby will have saved her life since the cancer was found during routine screening before IVF. I try to be grateful everyday and know sometimes I fall short. She has inspired me and, after hearing this, I want to list the things I'm gratefrul for. I carry this list in my purse so I remember to remember:
* Moving to a new home where kids have friends
* Removing toxic people from my life
* Blessed with my b/g twins and now my kids are at an age where I can enjoy them more.
* Being able to stay home with my kids and working occasionally because I enjoy it
* Have ability to go back into video production (my first career choice - not easy to get into)
* Got diagnosis for Behcet's Syndrome. It's rare and hard to get diagnosed!
* God regularly answering my prayers (even if it's not always on my time table!)
* Having family who love me and accept me for who I am
* Having a loving husband - the second one, but the RIGHT one.
What are you thankful for?

I am thankful for a lot of different things, but one thing I have used as my motto through life is that as bad as I have it, there is someone out there who has it a lot worse than I do, so I need to be grateful for what I have now.
That has gotten me through some pretty low parts in my life.

1. For going in for a routine eye exam in October 1999. The doctor discovered I was almost completely blind in my left eye due to a retinal detachment. Right eye had compensated for it. If I'd gone in just a couple weeks later, surgery would not have restored my eye sight.
2. The makers of Concerta. They've completely transformed our son's life. They get knocked all the time by people who don't understand ADHD at all when they've enabled people like our son to lead a normal life.
