I am in the process of weening my 10 month old. We are beginning to introduce Goat's Milk at night... last night he only had an ounce... do you all think I should add water to the Goat's Milk... or would the pure form of it be okay? Should I mix it with formula?? or would he be okay just drinking the milk and eating his normal diet of fruits and veggies.

I'm going to guess you are a vegan? I don't know much about this type of stuff but I'm sure your children's doctor would be able to help you make the best choice for your son. I think the way I did it with my kid's from formula to cow's milk was a few bottles a day, add a couple ounces of milk to the bottle. Every week add 2 more ounces until they are completely transitioned. That's how I did it. But make sure to ask the doctor first!
I would say talk to his doctor about what to do with the goat's milk and to make sure that it is safe for him. Congrats on your going to be new arrival.
I have a friend that had trouble nursing her baby so weaned and gave goats milk. She actually had a goat farm and was quite privy to it all. She said she fed 2 of her 5 boys goat milk as infants as it is closer to human breastmilk. The only thing is it does not have adequate amounts of folic acid. So you will have to supplement that in some way. I am sure there are liquids on the market somewhere that you can add to the milk. I would not water it down. Meyenburg farms sells canned goat milk (it's expensive though at 2.50-3.20 per can in the bakers isle of most grocery stores) that has been enriched with folic acid. It is very creamy and soooo easy to digest. It only takes 20 minutes for humans to digest goat milk and 3 hours to digest cow milk. Go for it, good luck and I hope the transition is an easy one for you!

My mother raised my sister on fresh goats milk. She would have to let the cream rise and then filter it. But other than that she did nothing else. Goats milk is easier to digest than formula or cows milk. With canned goats milk I am sure there are directions on how to prepare the milk.
