Another one of my "Is it just me" questions - is it just me or does this website not work very well technically? Pages often don't load, the text font shifts and changes as I read it, I click on a question ,answer or email box and nothing happens, it comes to a complete stop and I have to shut down my internet, etc. Is if the ads, cookies, is there spyware, what?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

This is the only site I have these problems with - my office computer is super secure so I have a feeling it's related to spyware, etc. But at home I don't have super secure software but I still have the problem. Grrrr.

This happens to me too, and, it is ONLY this site.
It's a pain and I just give up sometimes.

I use Internet Explorer for what that's worth.

I'm glad you asked the question. I'm curious to see your responses.

Best wishes.

I often have the same problems. I use internet explore, and I sometimes wonder if that is the problem. I do periodically clean out the cookies, and that sometimes helps. However, I don't have this problem on any other site, just this one, so I'm inclined to think it's unique to this site.

I'll be watching this thread to see if anyone else has any ideas.

Good luck.

I don't have that problem.

1) But, maybe locally, your internet provider is having issues? You can call them and speak to the customer service/Tech help. They will walk you through it.

2) Or, try re-booting your router. That often works.
To reboot it, you simply unplug it at the outlet. Wait a few seconds or a minute, then plug it back in. Then wait like a minute. Then turn your computer back on. Or restart it.

Is it ONLY this website that you have this problem with, or ALL online activity/websites?

3) What browser are you using?

4) Or, it could mean your computer needs more RAM. You can buy more RAM.

5) Also, do your computer updates, and per whatever browser you are using. I use Firefox, for example. And they do have updates.

One tip: BACK UP your computer, today. In case it just gets worse.

I'm not having these issues.
For a browser I use Firefox with Adblock Plus, No Script and Flashblock add-ons.

YES. I use Safari and/or Firefox, and it's the same with both of them. I have a lightning-fast connection, and this is the only site where I have these problems. I reported it to Mamapedia support, and to date have had no answer from them. For what it's worth, the issue appears to be (to me, anyway) the ad that appears directly above the "recently asked questions" on the right. Most of the time, it takes forever for it to appear (during that time, I can't do anything else on the screen), and then about half the time, a message appears stating that the server timed out.

This is seeming to be an internet explorer issue. Could you all try to use firefox, safari, or google chrome? Firefox is working fine for me.
