Hi, we are relatively new to the area and are interested in finishing our basement. Has anyone used someone really good who wasn't outrageously expensive? If you don't mind sharing how much did it cost?
Also, we are looking for a good company for replacement windows, we have a few that need replace.

Well, this might seem biased, but my partner is an independent contractor and is always looking for business referrals, as he does not advertise and relies on word of mouth. He's been in business for himself for over 7 years now and thrives on basement remodels. He is very talented, professional and highly motivated, not to mention very reasonably priced. He's done run of the mill finishing to extravagent remodels including custom bars and cabinetry, stone work and water features. If you can dream it, he can build it. Hi. This past summer I had my kitchen gutted. New cabinets, floor, all new appliances, pantry ripped out and built a built-in next to my frig, new doors all new electric with extra outlets, new fan, wrought iron light fixture, and much much more. I have given my mans nam on mamasource before and gotten many thanks from people that have had him out to their homes and gave estimates much lower than any other they had gotten. His work is impeckable. He leaves everything clean and looking beautiful and he is reliable and trustworthy. He had my house key for 6 weeks. I've had him back since then and had my frontroom painted, crown molding, new doors new wood floor with a tile inlay (like a rug at he door),new guest closet, and all new moldings and door caseings (Roman style).
