Our wedding was not an enjoyable experience, truthfully other than marrying the one I love and he in return there wasn't anything happy about it. We have been discussing how this time around we would like to do things just us and our 2 children. We are not looking to do this this year but rather are trying to come up with various destination, or not ideas on what we would like to do. We of course prefer anywhere that is family and children friendly. Being that we're keeping it just us 4 we would prefer to be somewhere enjoyable to the children as much as us. Once we do it our children will be about 10 and 7 respectively.

For those that have had experience with vow renewal ceromonies do you have any tips or advice? I realize that tastes are personal but right now we're just researching and are open to all possibilities. Travel is on the table definitely, international included but of course we're not looking to spend anything beyond $10,000.

Thanks for any input. :)

What about renewing your vows on the beach in Hawaii?
I would choose the island of Oahu as there is a lot to do on that island.
You can find a somewhat private are of a beach to renew your vows.
It will be well within your budget.
Be sure to find your officiant well in advance.
Going to Europe can be exciting but pricey.
Also, if you choose Hawaii during the right season, the weather will be gorgeous.

Turks and Caicos - I have a friend who goes here every year with her husband and kids:

I did a quick search for you it looks like $8000K without the wedding, including airfare from Seattle. There are supervised kid's activities, etc.

If you're outdoorsy, a lot of small tourist towns have small chapels or prayer houses that only fit about ten people. I know there's one in Allyn on the Bay in Washington. Then there's camping or other outdoor activities nearby.

Go to Hawaii! Renew your vows on the beach! Nice and relaxing, beautiful scenery makes for amazing pictures, great vacation for the whole family!!! I would try to rent a condo with a kitchenette or a house on the beach with an outdoor BBQ so you can do some of your own cooking. Kids love sand, beaches, & exploring!

Hello,

My husband and I are getting ready to renew our vows on March 31st where it will only be us and our 3 children. We selected Maui. There are a ton of companies online that offer vow renewals. We selected this company: www.weddinginmauicheap.com The communication has been great and they seem very friendly. The price is also within our price range and we negotiated a package between two they offer to get exactly what we wanted. While there we will also do a luau and lots of fun things with the kids.

Congratulations on your renewal :)

I think I would call the reservation desk at Disney or one of the other huge cruise lines. They often have theme cruises and they are set up for kids and adults. Often the destination is wonderful for all parties. They offer babysitting so the adults can do some adult meals and sweetheart time. Then there are lots of activities that would be for all family together.

They may even have a wedding cruise in June, I would call and ask about a package deal where the captain would do the vows and then your family could sit at his table that evening in lieu of a reception.
