Tips on Cleaning Vomit and Coffee from Carpet
Any tips on cleaning vomit and coffee stains from carpet? What could I use to get rid of the vomit smell and prevent that stain from settling? Thanks in advance.

This "recipe" comes from a carpet cleaning guy...I love it and use it on EVERYTHING!
3-4 Tbsp. white vinegar
1-2 drops dish washing liquid
Put in a 16 oz. spray bottle and fill the rest up with water
Spray on stain and dab with a clean white cloth or towel. Repeat until stain is gone. Sometimes you may need to saturate the spot and then apply pressure to "soak up" the stain (like stand on the cloth). The less rubbing the better, as rubbing wil breakdown the fibers of the carpet.
It has gotten out everything from my kids vomit (on my mother-in-laws NEW sofa!) to chocolate and blood on my white sofa. The key is to catch it right away, but I've used it after it's dried and it still works.
Spot Shot is also a great stain remover, especially for those old stains or ones that you have no idea what they are. We've used it to remove stains that were on the carpet when we moved into our house.

We bought a Bissell Green Machine and it's more than proven it's worth. We've used it for dog accidents, and spills of all kinds. It's a smaller cleaner, so it's easy to carry/fill/empty.

I have had this same problem from my two year old and I went to target and bought this stain remover made by Bissell called Oxy Pro, it's got two canisters and a spout on it. It works great, it's inexpensive and you just spray it on the stain and let it sit for a few minutes and dab up. When my daughter threw up, she had a hot dog and still had some particles in the carpet so once I picked that up, it helped when I vacuumed that area after applying the spot remover. Now you can't even tell where it happened at. That's a great product.

Hi E.
Take a look at www.saferforyourhome.com. This is where we purchase our household cleaning products. Sol-U-Mel is an excellent deoderizer and can actually take gum out of carpet, tar off a car, removes permanent marker. Also, PreSpot is an excellent product to clean with as well. We've used both on our carpet to remove vomit and were completely satisfied. We also use these products in combination with MelaMagic to create an effective carpet cleaning solution.
If you're interested in purchasing and trying these products for yourself, let me know. The company is running a promotion this month for new preferred customers. You can receive 100.00 in free products. All products come with a 100% money back guarantee and with the same 30%-40% discount we receive.
Regards,
M.

I have used Natures miracle. It’s in the pet store it has live enzymes in it that get rid of all the smells and color. It also works great if you have a pet, for just about any stain.
