Tiny Red Spots on Face

I agree to consult a dr or dermatologist. I took my 20 month old to the dermatologist with smilar problems. Dr. said it was due to too much drool/moisture causing yeast to build up. She prescribed a topical cream and said I should not expect it to entirely clear up until drooling all over. I would imagine no moisture is just under her eye, so probably not the same as my son's issue. See the Dr. Also google search "peri-oral dermatitis" as that's what I thought my son's issue was at first.

Pin prick size sounds like something called petechiae. Our daughter has a blood disorder called ITP and she gets these a lot when her platelet count is low. After surgery it can happen because your body is so thrown out of whack. Just have your ped or the doc at the follow up appointment run a blood count. If it is normal, no worries. It could just be irritation too if she rubs her face a lot or as you said, rubbing her nose.

It is probably a reaction from the anesthesia. I wouldn't worry if they are not bothersome. Just make sure that her breathing is good. If all is well don't worry.

I second what Victoria said...also my son had impetigo a few weeks ago, and that's pretty much what it looked like. I thought it looked more rashy (and I think it can) but on him, it was just tiny red spots. She definitely could have been exposed to it at the hospital, so I would just have a doctor look at it to be sure. If it is that, it's really easy to cure, just a little cream!

Make sure your doctor knows about it. If they gave her an antibiotic, she might be allergic to it.
