Salvation Army sometimes has stuff like that. Check around at resale shops. LOts of times they sell equipment for workout and its so cheap. We got our stationery bike that way and it was a few bucks but BRAND NEW condition. It's so amazing. ALso post on craigs list or freecycle. Good luck!

Hi M., My friend is selling her treadmill. It is 2 years old and has been barely used. Heather only used it to walk, so it is in excellent condition. It retails for $600 or $700, but she is willing to sell for $300. She is pretty sure it is a Nordic Track, but she'll have to check to be sure. (Shows how little she used it!) I don't have a treadmill, but I have a cross-training eliptical machine. I haven't been using it due to an ongoing knee problem. It is a Vision Fitness model we bought in 2000-2001 with less than 100 hours used due to my (non-related) knee injury. The eliptical works by simulating walking & you set your own pace. Your feet rest on a pad and as the eliptical moves your legs move at about a 45 degree angle like walking & you set your pace & you can adjust the tension so it can be easy or increasingly harder to move the pedals. You also get an upper body workout holding the "ski" poles moving your arms back and forth like during a fast walk. The eliptical part works with magnets rather than electronics. The only electronics are the digital read-out for RPM, Speed, Calories, & Distance. The digital readout is battery operated. It's a very durable machine that should last many years since so few parts can break down. It also folds up into a a 3ftx2ft foot print and stands about 5.5ft tall when folded up. We paid about $1399.00 + sales tax and we're entertaining best offers.
