Teacher / Bus Driver Gifts

I don't know if others will agree, but I think some teachers who've already received their share of stuff they really don't need over the years might appreciate a donation in their honor, through heifer.com, for instance. This year I'm giving a $10 share in a goat, sheep or trio of rabbits to a few of the teachers that I think might appreciate this. (The idea is that the 3rd-world family that receives the animal then gives its offspring to someone else in the community and it keeps paying forward.)Have a look at the website. Get gift cards for starbucks or dunkin doughnuts. Most people drink coffee or like some kinds of a treat.

I have given wawa hoagie gift certificates or wawa gift cards. Another idea would be movie tickets or even a bank gift card.

A Starbucks gift card, or some other gift card. Maybe to a movie rental place?? You could stick the gift card in a little bucket with a pack of microwave popcorn and a bag of candy. I think they'd be thankful for anything you got for them. :)

I do the Wawa Gift Card...food, drink, and gasoline. Nothing is better! And, who doesn't like Wawa?!? Good luck!

Just a suggestion, not pushing anything on you, but as a teacher, I would have LOVED food! I was so sick of gift cards to Borders and Starbucks, coffee mugs, candles, and lotions! If someone would have given me Tastefully Simple I would have been VERY happy!

I would stick with gift cards. How about a Borders/Walden bookstore GC for the teacher? Some type of convenience store (Sheetz, Turkey Hill, Rutters - in my area) would be really nice for the bus driver.

So funny that all responses relate to food, but I was just going to also say that men love food! How about a plate of homemade cookies or banana bread?

we gave our male bus driver a lottery scratch off. he only won a few bucks, but they're fun!

Some generic suggestions are Wawa/Dunkin Donuts/Starbucks gift cards. A $5 card will get them a cup of coffee and a treat (okay, maybe just coffee at Starbucks). Hand lotion and lip balm (both unscented) are used by men. Recently suggested to me for co-workers was lottery tickets (scratch off). If you want to get something a little more personal for the teacher, you could get a Becker's (teacher store) gift card, or there are some tee shirts and carry bags that have educator themes (see the Signals catalog or Signals.com).

A nice note is also appreciated by both teachers and bus drivers.
