I'm just wondering about the Tablets out there. I am interested in buying one but I am not sure what route to take. There are so many of them. I want a fully functional one that can be used for a variety of things. Reading, apps, music, work, ...... so my question is...... Do any of you own one and what has your experience been like?

What can I do next?

To me the ipad is the wrong choice.
Things Apple don't play nicely with other file formats, and other devices.
I have a Nook Color which is essentially a tablet. It's sold as an e-reader but it does so much more. The Nook Tablet just came out and it's only $250
Check out each one and look at the apps available see what you want.
I am partial to Android because it's not picky about what it works with.
A friend of mine has an ipad and she does not like it because Apple is so propritary with their files and all. And they do not have flash player. Steve Jobs did not like flash player therefore Apple products do not support it many websites depend on flash player.

We have an Ipad and a Motorola Zoom (hubby works in technology).

We both love the Ipad.

I just bought the Kyros Coby, 8024. Amazon has one for 159.00 right now. I love it. It's a little bit older. So I had to do some research in the various threads online to find out how to download the later version of android market. Android library comes on it and there are tons of games and lots of free things. But the sony digital reader is only in the android market app. It was not hard at all. It was just a little time consuming.

I also had to do some checking around to find a netflix copy that works. But I really don't like using netflix on it because the search function doesn't work. You can only watch the most recent movies and tv that are listed for each category. I really love the way it handles youtube videos.

I have 3 different types of books on there and audio books too along with emusic files. I have a journal program to list my daily prayers and several bible applications. My daughter has angry birds of course.

My friend's mom has the Barnes and Noble Nook Color. It's only $199 and she loves it. It has all the apps.
Actually if you go to www.coliryan.com and put it in the search you will find it at Walmart for $198.86 and coliryan.com will pay you $3.98 cash back. Not a lot but every little bit helps. :)
Let me know if you need help. I save folks money for a living. :)

I don't have one, but I have an iPhone, and based upon my love for it, I would definitely check out the iPad despite the silly name.
