Suggestions for Sling That Can Be Used for Newborn Thru Toddler

I would like to find a sling that can be used for a newborn up to a toddler. I will soon have a newborn and an 18 month old. I will be busy with a toddler, so a hands free sling for the newborn will really be helpful. I've looked at several types - with velcro, clips, loops, etc. There are so many options, I'm not sure where to start. I'd like something easy to use, comfortable, with different positions & can be used as the baby grows (the Snugli I used last time only went up to 20 pounds) I plan to breastfeed again, so a sling that can be worn while breastfeeding would be good.

What can I do next?

Love the Moby Wrap. Ours is on its second baby now. :) It's easy to put on; I can do it easily & quickly myself. It's also big enough for my husband to wear.

I love my Moby...it is easy to make one too...

Just buy 5-6 yards of interlock knit fabric (it is like a tube of t-shirt material), cut it down both folds and now you have two! No need to sew since knit does not run. There are also lots of videos on youtube.com showing how to tie a Moby wrap. :)

I loved my Hotsling. I used it with my preemie while running around after my then 2 year old and was still able to carry the baby in it when he was 2! You can wear it with baby in front or back in different positions.

I have used several different carriers, and I can't say enough good things about my Moby Wrap. It is the only thing that got me through having a newborn and a 16 month old!

I got the ergo baby carrier when my little guy was 4 months old. We were traveling a lot - used it in NYC. It's not a sling, more of a front/back carrier, but you can use it for many ages/weights. Check out their website for details. I really like it, still use it. http://www.ergobabycarrier.com/
