Stuffing Envelopes

We were approached today about stuffing envelopes for a political mail-out. The source wasn't sure how much to charge for stuffing envelopes. I was wondering if anyone stuffs or has stuffed envelopes and what was the pay. I searched the internet and saw anywhere from $4-$12 per envelope - that seemed a little high to me. We will not have to pay any money up front for supplies or anything. Please let me know if any of you have experience with this. Thanks so much.

A.,
We have a family business that produces hand-written direct mail. For a card with a hand-written note on the inside, hand-addressed on the outside, stuffed and stamped, it was 25 cents per piece. Hope this helps,
M.

Hi A.,

I have had the pleasure of stuffing envelopes and never received a dime. We were given the supplies and took my children and I several hours to get them ready to mail and out and I followed the instructions to the letter and never got paid for it. Needless to say, I don't trust anything like that. You can also check with your BBB or the AG's office to see if they have any complaints about such a business. I know I filed with the BBB and the AG's office about 8 years ago when I was scammed. There are legitimate business's out there, you just have to be careful. I'm a SAHM that I work from home but it took me awhile to find one that was legitimate and had a lot of integrity.

Blessings
M.

Hey--

I've found a survey company that pays for you to rate different websites. I wanted to wait and make sure it's legit, but I just got paid $50 into my paypal account, so I feel good about it. It's a survey place--you get paid according to the survey you take. If you're interested in reading about this, follow this link:

They pay you once your account reaches $50. They pay out twice a month. You're rating online sites (I've done Blockbuster, Stamps.com and others). The only thing is you need a credit card AND you have to cancel memberships once you've signed up on the sites. I have an organized way to do this--it's easy really. I just list the company I signed up with, the date I signed up, when the trial period is over, when I've received the money in my survey account and when I've cancelled. If you don't cancel, you won't make money b/c you'll pay the fees of the companies you signed up for. Also, I don't take every survey--just the ones I'm comfortable with. I've even called the companies numbers before I put in my credit card info to make sure I could reach someone to cancel. So far, it's been pretty easy to do. Good luck!

I jumped on that wagon once. Stuffed 3500 envelopes and still haven't seen a dime. I was promised 50 cents an envelope. At the time it didn't matter...money was money. I filled out an on-line "application," was selected and was mailed my supplies and instructions. I would research the particular company/group that you may be stuffing for before you actually jump on board. I'd hate to see you waste your time.
