Stroller Question - Lees Summit,MO
I am wondering which would be better. I used the stroller travel system with my daughter ALOT and just bought an extra base for hubbys car. I remember wishing I had a jogging stroller at the time since I kept hitting my legs on the stroller when walking fast.
My question is, do you who have used jogging strollers and regular strollers think it would be better for me to get a jogging stroller travel system that has carseat and a cheap umbrella stroller when traveling or a regular stroller travel system and a cheap jogging stroller?

If you get a jogging stroller travel system, that would mean you are buying a whole other system because you already have a stroller system right? If you already have one system, stick with it. I had the Chico system and felt it was very safe. I like my jogging stroller when I jog and go to festivals, but I also travel a lot through airports and that jogging stroller is too big and would be a nightmare for me to deal with through security. Also, I feel like a regular stroller collapses better for my trunk, where my jogging stroller doesn't. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my jogging stroller. Its the Jeep kind. It has cup holders, a soft hand grip, super easy to clean and has a "speaker/MP3 system" in it for both of us to be rockin' out to music. But I wouldn't want to fight with that stroller on a daily basis. Hope this helps you. Get a good jogging stroller because it will then motivate you to get out there and run. If you don't like your stroller it may be harder to motivate yourself to get outdoors. Good luck!! :)

Sell your stroller travel system on Craigslist, or by any other means, and then get a jogging stroller travel system. We got a travel system and a separate jogging stroller. I LOVED the jogging stroller and never used the travel system stroller. I wished we would have just bought the jogging travel system in the first place. We used our jogging stroller all the time... at the mall, the park, for walks, at the beach, etc. My sister just recently bought a jogging travel system and she loves it, she said it is much better than her traditional travel system she had with her first child. We sold our travel system on craigslist for $85, it was almost 3 years old but in good shape.

I had a regular travel system at first, and after using it for jogging a couple of times, knew I needed a jogging stroller. My jogging stroller (I think Baby Trend) is not expensive at all (new on ebay) but is wonderful and reclines so I could use it with my baby at the beginning. I loved the tray so he could snack while I worked out! The only complaint I have with it is that it didn't allow my son to sit as upright as he wanted, but he got used to it. I am excited for my older to start preschool so I can go back to using it!

I personally have yet to find a cheap jogging stroller, therefore, I would buy the regular stroller system with a carseat and a lighter weight stroller for travel. If your main goal is to actually jog then a jogging stroller would make the most sense but not in terms of travel because they are very bulky.

I LOVE my BOB jogging stroller. I also have a Maclaren Quest and Love it as well. I Hated my travel system, I feel like it was so bulky, heavy, I got rid of it asap! I agree with Jen below though that the BOB reclines too much, but I just buckle the straps around her waist instead of over the shoulders as well, then she can sit forward and see, or sit back and relax.
