I am looking to buy a new stroller now having 2 children. We have an outside running stroller but I need one to pack up and bring to the mall/zoo etc... I cant' decide if I should buy a double seater or a sit and stand. I have a 2 1/2 year busy little girl and a son who is almost 3 months. Anyone have a favorite stroller or prefrence (double seater vs sit n stand) to reccomend???

What can I do next?

I purchased the Bumbleride Queen B, and the toddler seat attachment. It's quite large, but it is awesome because you can comfortably lie or sit a baby in the back, and a toddler can sit in the front. LOVE IT! But it is not compact, by any means!

We have the Phil & Ted's double stroller and really like it.

It starts out with a "baby pocket" where the infant lays down, and the toddler is in a seat. Then you convert it to two seats. It is more compact than most, and rides smoothly.

The only downside is that there isn't much storage space for diaper bag. I have learned to travel lightly.

My neighbor has the Joovy sit and stand stroller and she wishes she had bought a double seater.

Hope this helps!

I bought a McClaren side by side double stroller after my second child was born. My kids are 28 months apart. I have to say that I never really used it much and it ended up being a waste of money. My older child prefered to walk much of the time. I bought an attachment called a "buggy board" from One Step Ahead that I attached to my regular stroller. My older child could stand on this while I pushed the stroller if she didn't feel like walking or if I was in more of a hurry to get somewhere. It has worked great for us, and flips up out of the way when she's not using it.

They now have a sit and stand that has a second seat that then can turn into the area for the older one to stand. We are looking into that for our kids and we tried it out at the store. Once out taxs come back, we will probably buy it. It is the Sit N Stand Plus. I think it is the best of both worlds.

J.,
I bought a double seater when my second son was born. My two boys are 17 months apart, so it seemed the most practicle at the time. If I had to do over I would have bought the sit n stand. My older one likes to walk or hold on to the storller. Good luck,
J..

I absolutely love my "Sit n' Stand" stroller by a company called JOOVY (a subsidiary of MacLaren). Babies r' us sells it online only www.babiesrus.com, and "One Step Ahead" an online competitor has them at www.onestepahead.com. What is so great about this stroller? You can use it from newborn until your oldest is about 5 years old. It is a back to back, two seater, but the back seat can be positioned so that an older child can stand on the back if they get "tired" of walking. It can also accommodate a newborn car seat, and still hold the older toddler in the back. It's very tough, but fairly lightweight, and easy to open and store in the back of your car. It comes with two removable shades, two removable snack strays, and With one flip, it easily pops open. It has plenty of storage in the bottom, and on the back of the seats. It's a lifesaver at the zoo or things like the State Fair. If you can't visualize what I'm describing, check out the pics at One Step Ahead. When I bought mine, it was about $175.
