Squirrel Infestation Problem

I'm a little behind the times here, but I have the same problem and I am glad I found this post. It reminds me of a way I kept my cats from going where I didn't want them - such as getting up on furniture. I will have to try the mothballs if this old trick doesn't work: I soaked cotton balls in nail polish remover - the cats hated the smell - and placed them around the areas I didn't want them to go. Worked like a charm. After the first few smells they stopped going that way. Now when doing this, I don't recommend placing the balls directly on the carpet or furniture, due to the nature of nail polish remover, but on a little tray or some paper.
You'd be surprised how long that smell stays on those cotton balls, but they may replacement after 3 weeks or so.

My soon to be ex is a Pest Control Specialist and he always used moth balls. Squirrels can't stand the smell. If they are in your attic you can put some moth balls up there and the smell keeps them away. Don't use too many or you won't be able to handle the smell because it can come into the house.

Have you tried moth balls? We had a few years ago a problem with possums (however you spell it). I would trap them and then take them to the coutry and let them free but after a week with catching 1-3 a night got old. I googled them and had seen that you could put out moth balls and it would stop them from coming in. I put some in the hole that they were coming in and have not had a problem with them since. It's worth a try if you havent already.

Are they in an atic or something? We had a problem with squirrels a few years ago. We called a company that deals with them. They set a trap outside of the hole that the squirrels were using to get in and out. The guy caught probably 10 of them. Everytime he would catch one he would come and get it and take it somwhere and release it. The guy we used charged based on how many animals they caught. It can get pricey but it was humane and it worked. He also covered the hole that the animals were using to get in and out (once he thought they were gone). If you want the number and name of the service we used message me and I will talk to my husband about it.

Have u tried calling your local animal services? We had a problem with bats and they came out and tried to help us.

I have never had a squirrel problem but every other pest problem I have had has been taken care of by "Pest Patrol" the number is ###-###-#### I believe. He is always prompt, knowledgeable, and reasonably priced.
