Soon to Be Single Mom in Need of a Job!

My husband and I are getting a divorce. I am 20 years old with no work experience. Luckily, after my son was born I went back to high school and got my diploma. (Thank goodness) Other than that the only job I had was cocktail waitressing for a few months at a dance club (not strip club) downtown. My son is almost 2 and we live in McKinney. This was supposed to be a gradual process but its turning ugly fast. I get child support for my son's biological father but I need to find a part time or full time job to start covering expenses. Does anyone know of an employer hiring people with very little job experience that I could look into? Any advice and support would really help. Thanks in advance

What can I do next?

I am looking for someone fun, energetic and who loves kids to help with my in home daycare. Please call me at ###-###-#### to discuss all the details....

OR___

Last year I decided I was going to be leaving my husband so I started working at home with Noah's Ark Animal Workshop. I'm not sure if this is something you've ever considered, but it brings in good money and is very easy. We do workshops (birthday parties, daycares, churches and more) and help kids hand stuff a new friend (like Build-a-Bear). It's a huge hit and very easy to market. For the month of April they are offering a starter kit for ONLY $29. If you would like to see more just visit www.noahsarkworkshop.com/constancecotton_s9956 . I've got three kids and honestly this is the only thing I think I could do at this time. I'm one of those moms who loves spending time with the kids and this allows me to do that.

Either way I wish you the best of luck.

Banks hire tellers with money handling/cashier experience. Hours would probably be convenient with having a little boy. Best of luck on your job search.

R.,
What do you like? I know some women have found good luck with working at a child care facility and then you can get discounted child care for your own children. If you don't have to worry about child care what about starting at a temp agency? They sometimes pay higher wages and if the job works out it could turn into a permanent position. I'm an RN and I know quite a few single moms who started out working as a tech and then getting their college paid for with tuition reimbursement. I think there's all kinds of options for you it just depends on what you need and want for the short term and long term. Good luck to you!!!

I personally don't know of any places that is hiring however you might want to try starting with the temporary agencies, conducting simple data entry, filing, or customer service. These are jobs that require little experience just a willingness to learn and do a great job. I will keep my eyes open but in the meantime contact Tamara with Job Net of America @ ###-###-#### and see if she has any entry level positions available. Its a start which is alwasy nice.
