SoniCare Toothbrush --How Long Did Your's Last??

I bought 2 SoniCare toothbrushes 2 Black Fridays ago...so they are about 1.5 years ago. My husband's stopped charging about 4 months ago. Mine stopped charging in the past 2 weeks.

I asked the dentist today about the life expectancy of them, and he seemed surprised.

What's your experience with one?

I'm thinking of writing the company about it. I'm really bummed that I spent so much money on them (yes, even on sale), and they have stopped working. I like the product and feel I had a much better report at the dentist's today because of using it, but am wondering if I should replace them with another of the same brand or look at another brand.

Thanks!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I chatted online with someone at Philips today. I'm past my 2 year mark by 4 months (they were Christmas presents to ourselves). They said their wasn't anything they could do. Didn't offer a discount or anything. Really bummed, and irritated with the company. Not sure I want to buy another one. Seems suspicious that they lasted just at 2 years EACH.

I'm a dental hygienist & recommend the Sonicare all the time. They should last an absolute minimum of 2 years. Definitely call the company directly, don't write a letter. I've always had excellent customer service with them whether I'm calling for a patient or for dental office products. On average, Sonicares will go "strong" for about 3-4 years. Afte that, they will often work, but at much less brushing power and should be replaced after that time. Anyone who has an older one & switches to new one will notice the difference.

Ours lasted around 10 years I think. Just recently quit on us. We decided to try the oral B and I can't stand it! It does sound odd that yours didn't last very long. I would buy another in a heartbeat!

You should complain. My first one died after 2 years. The warranty says 2 years. I bought a 2nd one at Costco and it still works, though I'm not sure how long it's been.

Ours are at least ten years old. I would definitely contact the company and see what they have to say. Good luck!
