Has anyone ever used snip-its for their kids? Do you need to make appointments? How much does it cost?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks for the info. We went to the one in South OKC. My daughter loved it! We only waited a few minutes, and Savannah loved that she got a bow made just for her and glitter in her hair. I think it was a little over-priced for a trim that took less than ten minutes ($15), but it is fun...maybe for every other haircut. :-)

D'lacey,
I've used snip-its before and it's great. I took my youngest there for his first haircut. I usually do my kids haircuts myself, but since it was his first and a big deal, I decided to take him there. The girls blow bubbles at the kids as they're coming up to the chair to get their hair cut. They were very patient and cut his hair exactly the way I wanted it cut, they did a great job. There are video game units at all the haircut stations so the kids that are old enough can play while they are getting their hair cut. It's pretty cool. I paid around 21 bucks for the hair cut, but he got the haircut, a polaroid pic and a certificate of bravery for making it through his first haircut, it was too cute. At the end of the haircut they have a pass key and they have a machine by the door. They put the pass key and a snip of their hair into the machine and it makes funny noises and spits out a toy. It's pretty cool. If you have kids who freak out at haircuts, it's a great place to go. It's a great place to take them anyways, but I saw them dealing with some really difficult little ones, and they did really well. I hope this helps!

I like it and find that going during a weekday has the shortest wait. They will give my little one a "dumb dumb" sucker and let him watch a movie to help ignore the haircut. We love Jasmine as far as a great hair cut goes, but she is on leave and supposed to be coming back at the end of August. We also like Cheryl really well. One other girl did a haircut on my toddler (2 year old boy) and I did not like it at all. I don't know who, but it wasn't either one of them (hubby took toddler for that haircut). It was not a great cut to begin with and to top it off they used a razor on him to trim the back/sides. My DH probably didn't tell them not to use it, but I figured it would be obvious since he's a return client and would not have had the appearance of being razored before..but oh well! I don't like that look for such a little one - maybe when he's closer to 3 or 4 ish? I just have them use scissors everywhere. Plus, the razor scares my child LOL

Overall, we like it and keep going back. His cut is $14.95 and I tip $3. It is rather pricy, but at least it's kid friendly.

We went there one time, and haven't been back. We had to wait for about a half hour, which seems like years with toddlers running around everywhere. The stylist was very nice, but the whole haircut literally took about 3-4 minutes, and it looked like it to. Not a good haircut. It was also, to me, very expensive for a child's haircut. I think we paid $17 or $18.

I use Snip-Its for both of my kids. No appt. needed and haircuts are $10-15.

They dont do the best hair cuts but my son loves it so we go every other time. They are very patient and the place is entertaining for the kids. I think their rate is 10ish but I am not sure. You can make an appointment or walk in.

Hi D'lacey,

I went recently with my one-year-old for his first haircut. They don't take appointments, so weekends are a bit crowded, but they usually have a cartoon movie going or something to keep the kids occupied. I think the cost varies a little but for his first cut it was $14 I think? They have a web site you can google. Good luck and have fun!
