Slushy Magic??!!

So I saw a post this morning about buying a gift from TV, and it made me think of my own soon to be 9 year old that wants that slushy magic thing from tv. I was wondering if anybody had any reviews for it and if you know of any stores that may carry it. Sometimes Walgreens and Target will have "as seen on TV" things.
Thanks for the help!

What can I do next?

I don't know about the slushy magic... but a couple years ago I bought a slushie machine at WalMart for I think $10-15.

The funnel slushie cups were only a couple of dollars ( if you wanted them, or just use a regular cup) for a lot of them.

The flavors weren't very much either, they lasted a long time... little goes a long way! Then for the past two years the slushie flavors went on clearance for .50 and we stocked up after the first year to make it through the second year and did the same thing last year and we still have 5 bottles in the pantry. The have a 2 yr experation date still.

Just another thought to the slushy magic... might be cheaper to do it this way. It just wont have the name.

One of the malls in our area used to have an "As Seen on TV" store. Not sure if it's still there -- it was at Great Lakes Crossing in Auburn Hills, MI.

The online reviews are HORRIBLE and the company take forever to fill their orders.

The commercial is VERY misleading. The amout that it "makes" is just a few ounces and takes a LOT of shaking. Most of the cup is filled up with the magic ice cubes.

My son BEGS for that stupid thing EVERY time it's on. I don't even say NO anymore because he KNOWS I'm not getting it for him.

My 5 yo wants it too. so I mentioned it to some folks. I looked at BB&B in their TV section, couldn't find it. BUT, I digress, the folks I mentioned to said they saw it on this segment we have on a local news station called "Deal or Dud" and it was a DEAL it really worked. That said, I think it is still new enough that it is only on TV. . . I ordered it and will let you know when it arrives if it works. (oh, I also did not check the "as seen on tv" store we have in a not-so nearby mall).

We have a sno cone / slushy machine that my son got for his birthday probably 3 years ago? and it's still working great. Bought at someplace like Wal Mart or Meijer. It shaves the ice (any size of cube) and then you add the flavoring. Like another poster said, the flavors last along time. Another plus is that when the kids get sick, I give them the shaved ice with apple juice!!!

My son insisted he must have it so he got it for Christmas. One of the little ice things leaked after the first use. It is nothing like the commercials and messy as heck!
