I'm scheduled to close on the sale of my condo on the day after Thanksgiving. WHile I'm thrilled to have sold, I'm nervous because I haven't found a home that we love. I'm planning on moving the majority of my stuff into storage so that we can rent a small one bedroom until we find a home to buy. I've looked at a ton of places in the area, but I haven't found any that is equivalent to what I pay right now. Does anyone know of anyone looking to rent to a place for 1-3 months? I'd like to spend less than $800 if possible. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

We have our house for sale it is vacant and it is on sale, we recently upgraded the kitchen to Granite and all stainless steel appliances.
New paint new roof and the house looks new it is close to Edward Hospital and Downtown Naperville, in Prestigeous 204 School District and it is ready to move in. All appliances and drapes included. It has finished basement and 2700 sq. ft. 4 bedrooms 2 and half bath.

I did not find any rentals in Carol Stream, Hanover Park or Streamwood under $800.00. There are a couple in Glendale Heights.

My parents had to rent a place for a few months after their townhouse sold and their house they built was waiting to be finished. They stayed in an extended stay hotel. It was a 1 bedroom with (separate room) and had a small living room and a full kitchen. I don't know if that would be an option. It was nice b/c they cleaned the room each day for them. They had a dog so we kept the dog during that time, and they put thier stuff in storage. They stayed at one in Warrenville, but I know there are others around. Best of luck.
These days, I believe many apartment complexes are allowing short term leases. My parents just had to find temporary housing while their house was being finished. They were able to get a 5 month lease at a nice apartment complex. Even if you are looking for something shorter term, it may not hurt to look.
