Seeking Recommended Preschools in Santa Rosa Area

I currently have a 23 month old son and I am very interested in learning about the preschools in the area. Currently, we live in the Bennett Valley area, but we would like to know other moms experiences or research with preschools in Santa Rosa. Good ones, bad ones? Would love to hear opinions, suggestions, etc. We are looking to enroll our son when he turns 3. Thank you!

What can I do next?

I have worked in many preschools and my older child attended a few until I finally found the preschool of all preschools for my youngest kids. I cannot recommend more highly College Oak Montessori on College Ave. There was no hoopla that the other "schools" throw around and my kids absolutely blossomed there. It is absolutely all about the kids. It's an amazing place. I could tell you more if you want to private message me.

Good luck!

check out the website www.sonomapreschooldirectory.com

It's a website that lists the preschools and kindergartens in Sonoma County.

Hi Tiffani - I'm from Windsor, but I do have a few friends that send their kids to St. Rose's Preschool at age 3, then they go to Pre-K for age 4. They've been happy with the program. I don't think you need to be Catholic.

I would also suggest contacting the Santa Rosa Mothers Club (unless you are already a member?) and asking them if they do any Preschool type forum yearly or have a preschool list that they'd be willing to share with you. I was part of the Mother's Club for Windsor/Healdsburg and every other year we had a forum where Windsor/Healdsburg Preschools came and presented to our club (and to the public) and that's how we had our list. It's possible the Santa Rosa club might have the same. And what better endorsement than a huge group of moms. Good luck.

I take my son (23 months) to Little Ones Preschool a couple days a week. It's a Christian preschool. The staff is very welcoming and great with the kids. His class is very small, just 4 kids in it. I didn't do much research on other preschools because we were referred to Little Ones by friends.

Congrats on the new one! I have a 4 month old also. :-)
