Hi, Ladies:

We are in the process of moving to Beaverton and will need a pediatrician for our two-year-old son. We are looking for a doctor who is open to all forms of parenting, as we lean toward attachment parenting. We also prefer a small office over a clinic. Thank you in advance for your recommendations.

So What Happened?

Once we arrived in Beaverton, I suspected my son had not completely recovered from an ear infection he had about two weeks ago. I needed to get him in to a doctor ASAP the day after Christmas. We saw Dr. Ericksen at Sunset Pediatrics. My son LOVED him. He didn't cry for the first time ever! I was very impressed with the care we received. We plan on staying with Dr. Ericksen.

There is a Dr. Richard DeKlotz in Beaverton on Scholls Ferry Rd. He was my son's pediatrician until I moved to Hillsboro, and he is intelligent and was very good with my son.

I know you said you like small clinics but thought I would mention Metropoliton (spell?) pediatrics. We live in beaverton but still go to the one in Hillsboro and see Dr. Neece. She is wonderful and very good with my wiggly noisy little ones. She has NEVER even looked frustrated even spending long amounts of time to get vitals since they dont hold still. The nice thing about the clinic is even when we have an emergency we can get in to see somebody that day, usually within hours and then she gets the update direct from a college instead of faxed from an ER or something. I know they have offices throughout the area but not sure about Beaverton. It only takes 15 min or less to get there from Denny/217 since its right off 26. The only way to know for sure if you found a good one though is to do a test run right? Good Luck, Jen
