We will be switching to Kaiser insurance as of July 1st and will be looking for a pediatrician, family practice and ob/gyn. I would prefer to go to the Sunset clinic in Hillsboro if possible but Beaverton would be the next closest. Does anyone have recommendations of who is good that we should see at those clinics? My son will need to be re-allergy tested this summer and I don't want to waste a lot of time bouncing from dr. to dr. to find a good one!

K.,
I use Kaiser and LOVE my ob. Her name is Sandra Reed. She is in the Beaverton clinic. She is very busy and at times hard to get into. A second choice at Beverton is Beth Riley. My peds. is in tualatin and that is probably too far for you. His name is Dr. Wu and he is amazing! Good luck.

Hi Kim,
My kids see Dr. Luanne Nilsen at the Beaverton Clinic. We love her. We have also seen Dr. Donna Voldengen at the sunset clinic and really liked her too. I see Dr. Kim Kisor for internal med. and Dr. Sandra Reed for OB/GyN at Beaverton. I am really happy with our change to Kaiser. I was pretty worried about it and it has worked out well. As soon as we got our ID# I called to set up "get to know you" apts to tell our history and they kept with our plan of what was next on our testing plan.
Good luck!

I take my almost 10 month old to Dr. Hinkley-Hines at Kaiser Sunset office. She is good. So, there is my recommendation.

We also go to the Kaiser clinic in Hillsboro. We switched about a year ago. I was given a referral from a friend to use Ped's DR.Hennebold. My son is now 19 months and we switched when he was about the same age as your son. I have nothing but positive's to say about Dr. Hennebold. She seems like she is an amazing woman, who also has a small child, I think her's is about one now. She is very through, and always goes through all options possible when addressing issue's. I was not happy about switching insurance plans, but Dr. Hennebold has made the transition much nicer for us! I hope she is taking new patients! In regards to the other Doc's. Good luck, I still have not found one at Sunset taking new patients that I'd like to use as "My Doctor". I've been in enough times for different issue's and used whom ever was available. The Doctors are all fine, just have yet to pick the one. Beaverton is the closest clinic with OB/GYN, although your regular MD should beable to do the annual exams. I like Dr. Abby, but she was not taking new patients last I checked. Good luck!

Hi Kim-

My family goes to the Beaverton clinic, and we have been very happy with the care that we've received. Our pediatrician there is Dr. Michelle Ruby. She's wonderful - very low key, but always takes time to answer all of our questions. My OB/GYN is Paula Hammond. She's a CNM, which I much prefer, and has just been great.

Good luck!
