Hello,

I'm a first time Mom in Stratham NH with a 3 1/2 month old and would love to get together occasionally with 1 or 2 other mom's with infants around the same age. I think it helps to have someone to bounce things off who are in the same "position", so to speak. It would be fun to have get togethers, play dates, etc. I work from home and I'm not from this area originally so I have no girlfriends in the area and would love to meet some new women to bond with. If you are local and interested in possibly chatting, let me know. :)

What can I do next?

Hi there! We live just outside Portsmouth. I have a daughter who's 3 1/2 years old, a daughter who's 17 months and I'm due with our third (a boy!!) at the end of June... not sure if you'd rather find people with a baby your sons age, but it's always nice to know more people in the area! Just let me know if you'd like to connect some time!

hi K.
I belong to a wonderful group that meets at Bethany church in Rye N.H. on the 2nd & 4th tues of every month. It is moms from all over the seacoast and you don't have to be a member of the church to attend. if you would like more info let me know. This group meets the needs of older children also the moms there are from newborn to college age so the diversity is awesome we all have diffrent chalanges and needs so those of use with older children help those with younger children it is a great experience.

Hi,
I have to second what the PP suggested. The mom and baby group and the breastfeeding group at Exeter Hospital is "GREAT"! Even if you had your baby at Portsmouth Hospital they welcome everyone. I still get together every Friday with a playgroup formed out of the people I met through the breastfeeding group. My daughter will be three years old next month. I also have a group of friends I met through my hypnobirthing class. There are deffinately many many ways to meet Moms in the Exeter area. Check out the Stratham Library. They have many things going on for slightly older children. I actually have a friend that lives in Stratham who is a second time Mom. I think her daughter is about 3 months old and her older son did some modeling. She could answer some questions you might have had on your earlier question.

Hi K.,
A great way to meet new moms in the area is to check out Exeter Hospital which is nearby. They offer mom and baby groups each month which is a great way to connect with new moms in the area to socialize and chat. Another option is Families First through Portsmouth Hospital which is another group enviroment of new moms and their little ones to ask questions and socialize and meet new people. There are a couple of groups you can connect with online: meetup.com has playgroups in the Portsmouth/seacoast area and MOMS CLUB (momsclub.org) in the Portsmouth area. There is a Gymboree in Rye NH as well as other programs to meet other new moms in the area like Music Together and Junior Gym in Exeter and HAmpton. Good Luck!

Hi K.. I am near the Portsmouth area and have a six month old son and I like meeting new moms, especially with kids the same age as mine. I also have a four year old son. Maybe if enough people respond we can do a playgroup.
