HI Everyone! I have a 7 month old son, my first, and I was recently laid off from work. Therefore, I am now a stay home Mom collecting unemployment.
I was wanting to know if there is a MDO program locally that is reasonably priced and safe for my son? (I need to keep some sanity.)
OR
Is there such a MDO group where you meet with other stay home Mom's and you have a "play date" between the kids at each others house during the week?
I figured it would be a great way to network in the area and make some friends. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
THANK YOU!

Most mdo programs do not start until 18 months around here. There is a MOMs group that is or was pretty active in Park Glen and there is also the Keller ISD early childhood PTA. kecpta.com they follow the school calendar so they aren't as active in the summer but I think they do still do some summer activities.

I loved the MDO at Keller first Baptist Church but they don't start till 18 months. But they also have a very active Mom to Mom group, that you could have play dates and such with, you can check out the website by googleing FBC Keller. I was never apart of the MtoM group because my kids were older but all three of my kids went through the MDO program they were fantastic!

The ones I know of are all for babies over a year old. You may have better luck finding a private sitter.

I don't live in Keller so I don't have any specific suggestions for you, but try the local Methodist churches. My church (in Hurst) accepts kids as young as 6 months, and my son's MDO (in Euless) accepts kids as young as 6 months. Both are Methodist.

Also, I encourage you to go to www.momsclub.org and find a contact for the MOMS (Moms Offering Moms Suppor) Club in your area. Ours has weekly playdates, trips to the museum, zoo, etc., weekly coffee club, a monthly mom's night out, and lots of other great activities to help you keep your sanity. :-)
