Hi there! I am interested in getting feedback from any moms who currently have preschoolers in Montessori programs in Portland. I have a 3 year old son and am looking to place him in a program soon....there are several out there and I would like some pointers as to why some may be better than others. Thanks in advance!
Our daughter has been at Montessori of Alameda for 3 years. We've been really happy with it.
ABC Children's Academy in Beaverton (right near Cedar Hills Shopping Center and NIKE campus) is just GREAT!!! It is a family run Montessori Preschool 5 days a week in the AM. Whole Child Montessori is wonderful. It is located just off of Woodstock in SE Portland. My son went there for three years and now my daughter will start in the Fall next year. A lot of preschools say they are Montessori. This one truly is. They have a website wholechildmontessori.org or net Good luck on finding a school. It's exciting.
West Hills Montessori is a good one. The difference between the Montessori's is that some are AMI I certified and some just carry the name and have their own take on what Montessori means.
