Hi Moms.
I have an active and alert 14 week old boy and were looking to meet other moms. I'm not sure when I'm going back to work, so either a weekday or weekend group (if such a thing exists) would be great. I'm a first time mom and have no family on the West coast or even any friends with babies. Help! Feeling very isolated and overwhelmed and need to get out of the house a bit.
Also, does anyone know any Gymboree or activity classes in the area?

Check out The Pump Station (if you haven't already) It's a cute store with all sorts of new-mommy things for sale and they have a mommy and me class in the back room. They're on Vine, up a few blocks from Melrose.

There is a great way to get into playgroups with other moms and babies. Join a website called momsclub.com. They put you in a playgroup with babies that are in your age group and in your zip code. If your work schedule clashes with that time they have weekend and evening activities too! Hope this helps. I totally know how you are feeling!!!!!!
