I am taking my boys (2yo & 5mo) to a nursing home in Niles on Tuesdays at 3:45 and would love to have other families come with me. It's just a chance for the residents to interact with younger generations. And it's a great opportunity for children to love on and bring joy to others. E-mail me if you'd be interested.

I actually have a 5 and 6 1/2 year old, and would love to join you. Where in Niles is the nursing home? I also work, but usually get off at 2:30, except I will be having staff meetings on Tuesdays (1-2 X a month). Please send me more info. Have you checked with the nursing home about this? What do you plan on doing while there?

Wow! This is great. I've searched for ways to volunteer somewhere and take my little one with me but didn't even think of this. She's still a 2 a day napper so she's still sleeping around 3:45. If you were going at a different time (although not at noon on Tuesdays) I'd love to join you!
That is great and I would love to do it since my grandma is in a nursing home in Niles. I wish it were on the weekends. I work full-time. I hope others will join you. HAve fun.
