Seeking Instruction Manual for Camera

I have a 35mm Canon EOS RebelG Camera, but I can't find my instruction manual. I usually use just the automatic settings but I would like to start being a little more artistic with my photography. I would especially like to know how to take pictures without the flash. Does anyone have an instruction manual for this camera that they would be willing to share with me?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank you all for your advice! I went onto the Canon Website and couldn't find any downloadable instructions, but I called the number for tech support and was able to order a copy of the manual for $7.00. So now I am looking forward to being able to take better pictures. Thank you again. God bless you all! K.
Wow! I have continued to get more great advice! I am also going to look for a book that will help explain the manual to me. Thank you all.

You could try their site http://www.usa.canon.com/home
If they don't have an online instrucional manual for you, write to them and maybe they will send you one.

K. B,
I have the same Camera I believe. For some reason though I think it is the RebelX. I will look for you tonight. Have you tried going online. Most companies usually have the instruction manual online for you..... I just went to Canon's website and there is a form that you can fill out. Best of luck let me know how it turned out.

Hi K.,
If you go to the Canon website you should be able to download old instruction manuals. You may just have to search around a bit.

Good luck!

I don't have a manual, but have you tried going online. Canon may have something that you can download for free. If not, try ebay. Pretty much anything you could possibly want is offered there (although for a fee). Good luck with your photography!

Hi K.,

I love photography too.

My first suggestion would be to forget the manual. You can get one from the company or on line, but my experience is it only tells you how operate the camera, not take good pictures.

I would buy a book that tells you haw to take good pictures with your particular camera. I found this one on Amazon:

CANON EOS Rebel 2000 (Paperback)
by Bob Shell (Author), Heiner Henninges (Author)

http://www.amazon.com/CANON-EOS-Rebel-2000-Shell/dp/18834...

You can get it uses for 3.99. I would also go to the Library and spend some time looking at books in the photography section that look appealing

Check out Chester County Camera Club. They have a website. This is a great place to learn and meet people in our area that might have similar interests to you.

Another resource is the web photo school. I get weekly mailing from them and it's free.

I have lots of similar intersts to you but am not sure how we could get together, my kids are 4 and 7. I am in my early 40's. I have an art background. I am a very active memeber at Hopewell United Methodist. I scrapbook, stamp, used to quilt but can't right now with small kids, my very good friend owns the new quilt shop in Exton, you would love taking classes there. It's called the quilt block and they offer a class on a photo quilt. You would have lots in common with both owners. They are also very close to God. We are all cat people. I can't knit but another friend of mine wants to learn how, she is also close to God and wants to start a scrapbooking business. Any interest in teaching her?
My camera is digital, I love photoshop so I can't be much help on the film end. I hope this gives you some ideas on where to start. Feel free to contact me.

You sould like a beautiful person. Let your colors shine!

K., if your requests fail, try contacting Bernies (I think that is it) on East Ohio Street in the North Side. His shop has been around forever and they are very versed in camera.

Good luck.

K.,

Did you try googling the manual? Sometimes you can find them online. If not, maybe try the Canon website. They may have it online or give you an option to order one.

Hi K.! My name's T. and I have a Rebel XT that I am still learning how to be artistic with, but the manual was always a little hard to read so I found a great book at Barnes and Noble for the Digital Rebel that was like a field guide. It has all the stuff in the manual plus step by step instructions with pictures to learn all the special functions. It's really easy to understand. The book is by Charlotte K. Lowrie, but there are several "field guide" type books and I'm sure they have one now for your updated version of the camera. I use my book more than the manual 'cause the layout and pictures really help me understand what I am trying to achieve. Hope this helps! Happy picture taking!

I just did a little research which you have probably done already and I can't find the manuals offered anywhere online. Ebay has sellers selling the cameras themselves and they probably have manuals with them. Maybe you could contact one of the sellers and see if they would make you a copy of the manual and sell it to you separately. Just a thought. Hopefully though, someone on this forum will have the same camera and offer to share the manual with you. Sorry I don't have one but I can ask my friends/relatives. Although as far as I know most have digital. I hope you are able to find it.
