Seeking Great OB/GYN in Avon Area

I just joined Mamasource and read your email, I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Tracy Farrow at: Erie Shore Women's Health at 5054 Waterford Place Drive, Sheffield Village, Oh 44035 her number is: ###-###-#### (it is a new practice she set up last year). It's about 3 - 5 miles from Avon.

I have been going to her for about 5 years now, she was wonderful when my first pregnancy ended in a miscarriage ;-( and also when I was pregnant with my now 2 year old son.

She is the best OB/GYN I have ever gone to, I don't dread going to see her...I can't say enough good things about Dr. Farrow!

Dr Joan Jesse, who is in Westlake, close to Avon, is awesome. She delivered my first child 6 months ago. Her entire practice is wonderful. She is right on Columbia road right off of the have her as my OB-GYN.

Dr. Jean Reinhold at Avon Women's Health Associates. She is the best doctor (of any kind) that I have ever had. She's kind, considerate, good sense of humor, calm and laid-back. After a very long labor with a bad epidural experience and some other unpleasant things, I actually cried when I saw Dr. Reinhold walk into my room. She was so kind and reassuring with me. I have recommended her to many of my friends and family, and they all love her too. She's an excellent doctor. She delivers at Fairview Hospital and St. John's West Shore. ###-###-####.

I've been to a couple, and the best one I know is in Vermilion, which is about 30 min from North Ridgeville, so it would only be about 20 min from Avon, if that. His name is James Matheson, DO. He delivers at Lorain Community Hospital, and he is not quick to do a c-section (for those who don't want one)--he has delivered breech babies and twins without c-sections for some of my friends (again, who were personally opposed to c-sections). Dont' know of any others who are that trusting of women! He is absolutely wonderful. Takes time with you, he even talked to my 3 yo while I went potty and said "Take your time!" He has 9 kids of his own so he really gets parenting.

When I first moved to the area I found it easier to stick with the Cleveland Clinic. I was able to find all the doctors my daughter or I needed by searching their website. It is also convient to be able to go to different locations, when I might be coming from downtown rather Avon Lake. Locations are great and they have an office right in Avon, its just north of I-90. I also go the Avon Women's Health in Avon, but I see Dr. Rebecca Starck. She is a great doctor! She makes you feel very comfortable and is easy to talk to, just a wonderful person to have during these times! I have also been to see Dr. Reinhold too, I did the rounds the first time I was pregnant to ensure I at least recognized the person who might be delivering my child! And she was also great!
