Seeking Gold and Jewelry Buyers in Richardson Area

I have some broken and other pieces of gold jewelry as well as several rings with jewels I would like to sell for the best price possible (of course). Looking for companies in the Richardson area that others may have had good or not so good experiences with? Prefer to do it in person rather than mail to online places. Thanks

So What Happened?

Thanks everyone for your responses. So far I have only taken in the gold items without any jewels in them. Old necklaces and bracelets as well as broken rings, anklets, charms and any piece of gold I had sitting around forever.

I called Dallas Gold and Silver and asked what they were paying per "pennyweight" for gold. They said $9. I went online and did some checking and then went to Gold and Silver Exchange on Jupiter at Arapaho in Garland and met the owner of this family owned business. He was very friendly, as we tested each piece of gold to see exactly what karat of gold it was. I watched as he put the gold on the scales to view the total weight. He offered me $3 more per pennyweight than Dallas Gold and Silver quoted me.

However since then I've been told by many that Dallas Gold and Silver is notorious for paying the least! Jewelers know they offer the least apparently.

They are a different company from Dallas Gold and Silver Exchange in Richardson. This fellow was busy with new jewelry sales, but made me a better offer than Gold and Silver Exchange in Garland.

The best I was offered was about $14 per pennyweight (on 14K gold) by Central Jewelry Buyers at 8024 Forest Lane in Dallas. He had a constant flow of returning folks selling silver items while I was there.

The resale value of jewels in nice settings to any of these folks is just disheartening. Those items are best sold yourself I have decided. I am off to Craigslist now.

Anyone looking to sell their gold should not go to a jewelry store of pawn shop and definitely do not mail it off! They all pay out out much lower than a precious metal buyer. The best place in Dallas with the highest pay out is Dallas Valley Goldmine in Highland Park who only buys precious metals. You can google "sell gold in Dallas" and see that they come up at the top of the list.

I second Dallas Gold and Silver. We collect coins and have made some good selections at fair prices there.

Hi,
I don't know of one in Richardson. I do know of a jewelry store that I could recommend in Rockwall. I have taken my gold there myself.

Albrecht's Jewelers - Terry Albrecht ###-###-####.
