Seeking Excellent Pediatrician in Arvada/Lakewood/Wheatridge Region

Cast another vote for Pediatrics West at Lutheran. We see Dr. Susan Fudge-Erickson.

She's so great, she sits down on the floor and talks to the kids even before she talks to the parents... puts the kids at ease. My 3-y.o. DS used to HATE going to the doctor, but now he's great with it.

I have a friend whose grade-school-aged daughters see her, too, and whenever one has an appt. the other one actually *wants* to go along... just to see Dr. Susan!

My daughter is 14 months old and I have been really happy with her pediatritian. We use Peak Pediatrics. It is by Luthern Exempla Hospital in Wheatridge. My favorite doctor is Dr. Gablehouse and she actually was featured in 5280 magazine as one of Denver's best pediatritions. When you go there, you see whatever doctor is available but you may request to see a specific one. She is a lot of fun and offers great help....and doesn't treat you like you don't know what you are doing. I am not sure of the address but if you Google Peak Pediatrics, it will come up.

We have been going to Dr. Nicki Bacon for the past 10 years and love her and all of the other staff, docs included at Pediatrics West in Exempla Lutheran. From the front desk (Maria is awesome!) to the nurses and techs, they are friendly and loving. Best of luck!

I have been taking my girls to Arvada Pediatrics in Broomfield. They have two offices, one in Arvada and the one in Broomfield. We love Dr. Michael Starbuck. He is so good to the kids and he spends the time with you that you need. Thier number is ###-###-####. You can always set up an interview process before you make that big decision.

I cannot rave enough about Kids First Pediatrics. They're roughly just west of Wadsworth and Alameda. We go do Dr. Harris, and she's awesome. She has several boys of her own, and is really good at taking things seriously, but putting you at ease at the same time. Everyone in the office is super friendly and they actually remember you when you walk in the door. When my son was 18 months old, he had a "dancing" accident that resulted in a huge goose egg and black eye. I was mortified to bring him in, but Dr. Harris put me at ease quickly and took care of him without making me feel like the world's worst parent. They are flexible with scheduling and I've never had a problem getting in the same day when I need to. She also did wonders with potty training help. She's a miracle worker!!!

We use Dr Shen Nagel with Pediatrics West at Lutheran. I would highly recomend any Dr at that practice. ###-###-####

My son's pediatrician is Dr. Nicholas Abbey at Arvada Pediatrics. They are located on the corner of 80th and Kipling. Dr. Abbey is an amazing doctor,my son loves him and he is always willing to take the time and answer all of my questions. since my son is my first I was quite paranoid when we first had him and Dr Abbey always made me feel like I was doing a good job. He is an amazing doctor and the office staff, including the nurses, have always been great with us. We continue to see Dr Abbey even though we live in Westminster now. Good luck finding a good doctor!

I am a mother of three girls 8, 2,and 2 months. I have been taking them all to Peak Pediatrics from day one I love it there. They have several doctor there to choose from I have seen them all and have loved them all too. There office is right behind Luthren Hospital.Hope this helps their # ###-###-####

We love Kids First Pediatrics (Wads/Alameda in Lakewood). We've seen all three docs and the PA and they are great. I am always FULL of questions and they are so patient with me!

We have an excellect pediatrician in Westminster and actually blocks away from technically being Arvada. It is called Indian Crest Pediatrics and their number is ###-###-####. They are located near Wadsworth and 92nd. We see both Dr. Knott and Dr. Barbe.

We go to a nurse practicioner at Arvada Pediatrics at 121st and Lowell in Broomfield. They're great and my son (3) doesn't mind going to the doctor at all.

We use Indian Crest Pediatrics too! We use Dr. Sona Shah, though and LOVE her to pieces! She always listens to my concerns, never seems rushed, the wait is never more than 10 minutes, and she is open to all methods of health care. We love her. She is great with my 7mo. old, and is very knowledgeable. She is good at easing my fears, and even makes alternative suggestions before recomending drugs and shots!
The front desk staff is great, the nurses are better, and the the PA are wonderful too!
